Family, what is family?
Some would say a family is a group of people related by blood, birth, marriage, etc.
Some would say family is their home where they find comfort.
Some would say family is someone who completes us.
Some would family is someone who breaks us.
Everyone has their own opinion and they have their right but when the question is directed toward me, I just become numb.
No, I was never an orphan
Yes, I had a family, a very loving one actually but, wasn't it an act all along? or else why would they leave me all alone?
They said I was the reason for their smiles but does someone leave their happiness behind just for selfish reasons?
I know I am wrong, I wanted them to prove me wrong but, what's taking them so long?
They promised they would never leave me,
They promised that they would always find a way to me even if they had to open up the ground and I still hold on to that promise but it's been twelve years.
How much more do they want to make me suffer?
I am tired of pretending,
I am tired of all those nightmares,
I am tired of bawling my eyes out every night.
I just need a warm hug,
I just want to be in their arms as they console me that everything is going to be fine
I just want my home
I just want my safe place
I just want my brothers back
Is it too much to ask?
