Since this is pretty much a filler chapter, this is a good time to go take a break. Seriously.
"The average human body can last around 3 days without water. By my counting, it's been around one and a half. You have to feed me eventually, because if your rich enough to put me in a sophisticated cage such as this one then you could afford to both kill me painfully and get away with it or torture me for information easier than this. You're starving me for a reason, and you're not going to let me die." Annabeth felt like she was going crazy talking to a camera, but this was her only way of contacting the people undoubtedly watching her. They were probably annoyed at her because the last time she tried to escape, but it was their fault for being arrogant and believing she didn't have a weapon on her.
Anyways, escaping was impossible if they didn't even acknowledge her existence or wellbeing as she was starving, thirsty and unarmed. Those variables put her chances of escaping at near zero, especially since she didn't know the layout of this building or the amount of guards and civilians in the building. She didn't even know where she was in California, or she was even still there. Her only hope was the tracker she has in her arm Hunger Games style. Creepy, but it worked.
Now all she could do was wait and hope some Romans would could and save her.

"Annabeth is captured?" Hazel said to a tall, brown haired second cohort legionnaire who she couldn't remember the name of for the life of her. They nodded.
"She has moved for around a two days now. Definitely captured." Hazel looked at the digital map they had pulled up. Hazel herself didn't really understand technology, but she understood that those markings where probably buildings and the lines might be roads. Frank had explained gps to her, but she still got confused.
"Has she used the emergency button?" Hazel asked, concerned. The legionnaire shook their head.
"No, but she has clicked the 'I've got the information I need, come get me' button, so the second you order an attack we'll get Annabeth out of there."
"What's your name again?"
"I'm August. I'm a descendant of Helios."
"Thank you, Legionnaire August. Please contact your centurions and the other Praetor, I have to organize a rescue." August nodded and started to walk out the door, before turning around.
"By the way, have you heard of Captain America?" Hazel turned around to look at them and shrugged.
"A bit. He was a huge thing during the war, I remember a lot of the kids at my school talking about comics about him."
"Well, here's the thing. I don't know if you know this, but Captain America is alive and still in his twenties (somehow). And um," they took a deep breath. "the place Annabeth is at? Captain America and his 'superhero' friends live there. Annabeth may have gotten in trouble with the literal protectors of the whole galaxy."

Sophie fumed and listened to antsy songs on her ancient, solar powered iPod she hadn't used for years. Jerry (Nemo, whoever) was a powerful Hydrokinetic and apart of the Neverseen, which apparently led Enzo to believe he could be trusted to live with Tam, Linh, and him. Plus, Enzo has a boyfriend. Why did nobody tell her anything?
Also, her winnowing gala was coming up. Oralie had came out as her mother and privately put in Sophie's father's name, so she was matchable. She had barely skimmed through her lists, not really seeing anyone she knew or cared about. Keefe, Tam, Dex, and Enzo weren't on there at all as they didn't sign up for match lists and Fitz was in the eighties. She didn't know anyone on her top 10.
She decided to walk outside and sit once Calla's tree as it always calmed her down, but before she could, she noticed Enzo sitting in her kitchen. It always unnerved her that he didn't have blue eyes like the rest of the elves, but he explained that his eyes were a consequence of his strange, mutant power like Sophie's were. He had eyes so dark brown they were practically black. At the moment, he was looking at a plate of custard bursts like he really wanted one but wanted to ask permission first. Sophie just rolled her eyes and told him he could have one. He gobbled a few up before telling her the reason he was here.
"I wanted to explain why I let Nemo live with me." Sophie sat next to him, annoyed. "I knew from the Neverseen. And um..." Enzo blushed a tiny bit "I had a crush on him for years. That may sound unreasonable, but I know how powerful and how good of a guy he is. Truly, he was the least Neverseen of all the Neverseen members. He wanted change, but not to the degree the Neverseen wanted it. He wanted to help people. I know he wanted out, and you can't just look at someone and assume their personality because of some horrible cult they were apart of." Nico paused. "Okay, maybe you can. But that doesn't mean you're always going to be right! Look at me, or Tam, or Aelius, or even Keefe. We were apart of the Neverseen, but we all hated it. Nemo is the same, trust me." Sophie sighed and grabbed a custard burst.
"Just think about it." Enzo grabbed a custard burst and left. Sophie went to go click on the Alicorns, trying to deny the fact that Enzo's logic made any more sense than hers and she should just go and talk to Nemo and see if he really was a bad guy. Why were people so complicated?
Word Count: 1020 Words
Yep, this is a short filler chapter. I need to move the plot along, but writer's block. I'll add that to my goals for the next chapter.
About halfway through writing this, I realized Sophie didn't grow up in San Francisco where Camp Jupiter is but instead in San Diego. Let's just ignore that for plot convenience.
Question of the Chapter: What's your favorite musical? Mines Six.
