"Welcome to my humble abode. I am Aerin Velatha Jastira Aneirin Ellee the reigning monarch of this nation, you have so brazenly attacked! I expect you to explain yourselves, should you fail to do so, there will be dire consequences."

The Greed Kings looked at each other in shock. They cast a {group message}, to discuss their thoughts.

"Does she not know the difference in our powers? She should, right? We just destroyed their whole military..."

"Maybe she is strong?"

"Look, she has eyes like the elves of Yggdrasil, if that is the case, she might be high level..."

"Considering she didn't suspect us players, she might even be a raid boss... remember there is no proof only players were transported..."

"That would be troublesome, we might not be able to beat her without preparation."

"No, look! Her hands are trembling, if you focus you can see it! She is just putting up a brave front! We have her, she no longer has any trump cards, so she tried to bluff us! What a cunning bitch! I will enjoy breaking her."

"Hey man, who said she is yours?!"

"Guys, please first we need to secure her, leave your scrabbling to a later date." A smoothing feminine voice echoing inside their minds calmed them down, if only a little.

The first to step forward from the group was Pride, he had a vicious smile on his face, which clearly showed he felt superior in the room.

"You say consequences, what can you do little girl?" Asked Pride mocking her.

She opened her mouth, but no sound escaped her delicate lips. She lifted a hand, but her hands quivered. The Greed Kings sneered in a sickening laughter as they made their way over to the frail little girl.

...

She was doing her best to remain unmoved by the visitors, but their aura radiated only malice, and a disgusting desire she had only seen in the likes of the lowest of the low.

She was about to retort to Pride's challenge when she felt it.

The sensation has returned. The one which has caused so many sleepless nights. It was here and she could feel it stronger than ever. More livid than ever. She could not articulate words and she was unable to keep herself stable.

She let her hands fall by her side helplessly and her eyes clouded over. She lost her sense of presence, and blacked out, however she did not fall. She just stood there like a puppet. All around her, crimson and murky spots appeared in the air, growing in volume and intensity. She stood in the center of it all.

...

"Wh-What the?! What is that?!" The Greed kings exclaimed in disbelief, as they saw an ominous shadow rising behind her. The shade expanded exponentially, and it didn't stop even after reaching the roof. The kings paled, as they understood the weight of the situation.

Its color grew nastier by the moment, and a strong urge to flee had come over the kings. Though, they could not explain it, they felt immense bloodlust radiating from the shadow. They carefully took a step back, as if to make sure that they don't disturb the sleeping beast. The girl had an overwhelming aura, their senses screamed at them, urging them to escape, but their bodies froze and refused to move even a single inch.

Ever since they had come to this new world, they had experienced many things and uncovered many differences between Yggdrasil and the new world. One of them being the aura. Every single being had an aura. The aura was unique and invisible, almost non-existent in every being.

This aura could be changed by many different things, such as emotions or sheer will. However, this would only be a small and temporary shift. It would be a fleeting and non-consequential change. The aura also signified power, the greater, the denser it was, the more powerful it became. After a certain magnitude of power it becomes visible to the naked eye. The 8 had such an aura, although it was only a thin line covering their bodies.

Killing someone, or something would also reflect on your aura. It would become more malevolent and would grow in size and power, however it was a miniscule amount. The 8 knew this well, as they had killed thousands of beings since landing in this strange new world. Despite massacring so many life forms their aura was almost stagnant, only a little change occurred with the color shifting into a slight red after so many killing, signifying the blood they shed.

The aura raging in front of them was leagues above them. It was so sheer in intensity, so raw in power, so fierce yet so restrained, it was like the bearer didn't even know about its existence, and yet somehow kept it under control.

How many lives, how many souls would one have to extinguish for a presence, for an aura like that to form? Why was this monster hiding under a woman's skin? Only a true monster could have an aura like that, and even then that's an overkill.

They took up a defensive position, not daring to make a threatening move. They were greedy, sometimes they were spontaneous, however they were not stupid. They would not throw away their life and their place in heaven for a fleeting chance of pleasure. Sweat trickled down their foreheads, as they awaited their impending demise.

The tense atmosphere was broken when they heard a blood chilling laughter echoing all around the room. The lights had blinked out one by one, as the shadow condensed and took form. From the dark mass two vermillion fires came to life, they burned with intense hatred. The kings felt their legs grow weak under the pressure the gaze of the unknown exuded. Then they heard it, the monster's call.
