Ellee moved swiftly as she took another turn startling guard. She just received intel about Rachel's mission. She instantly recognized the creature the messengers described, — it was an absolute monster. One that she had seen only once before in her life, one that only Ainz Ooal Gown could command. But it couldn't be her beloved, he would never do that, — not without good reason.

She had already instructed her guards, and other messengers. They have left the palace with specific orders to mobilize the sacred flames. The situation was serious, she was lucky that the abyss creature appeared in the human nation thus giving her the chance to act... It would have been a disaster if that 'thing' appeared in her kingdom.

She had to hurry. She knew Rachel was the most powerful out of the eight, and she had two others with her, but she had no disillusions about Rachel winning. That monstrosity was a league on his own. It would be a miracle if they could hold onto dear life until she arrived with the rescue.

She gave out all necessary orders for them to gather, and the nation to raise alertness level in her absence. She flew through the air at previously unseen speed as the shadow known as Gabriel, one of the sacred flames followed closely behind. She could only hope they'd be able to stall until the others arrive.

...

Rachel's body shrank back, reverted to the all too familiar girl, however the battle was not over.

The monstrosity has tanked head on everything she has thrown at it. She realized her firepower was not enough. Not nearly enough. It continued to stagger on its feet as it continued its rampage, seemingly no longer caring about her. It enraged her to end.

How dare a pathetic lower life form, a filth on the face of the world ignore her?

She summoned her strength once more as she pulled herself upwards.

She could no longer transform, she had emptied her reserves, but that wasn't enough to stop her. Through the years she had often experimented with her combat capabilities, although there was not many who could help out with her spars... altogether there were maybe 3 such individuals...

She had discovered that even if her daily use of ability was exhausted, she could push herself further, resulting in partial transformation which although was nowhere near as strong as her full, but still provided a significant power boost. It had only one drawback, it would exponentially expand the time needed for her to recover, but she couldn't care about that right now.

There was the enemy. Right in front of her.

Her pride as a true dragon, as a dragon lord didn't allow her to rest.

She screamed in pain as her wounds opened and blood flowed freely, and her form shivered.

She was just about to launch herself ready to enter the fray once more as she felt a hand grab her shoulder.

"Enough. Rachel... you've done enough." Those were the last words she heard before she fell over in exhaustion and drifted off to sleep.

...

"Gabriel, take her to a safe distance."

"But m-"

"No buts, do it." Ellee's steel voice left no room for negotiations as she slowly levitated upwards before taking off to face the monster that kept rampaging in the city.

Gabriel looked around and soon found the other two sacred flames. They were battered but still drew breath. He made haste as he gathered them and took off. Still, he couldn't help but glance back towards his sovereign's direction. "I hope you will be alright, mother."

He disappeared in the shadows.
