Today was a new day.
Yui Takeda was now a genin and was walking to the academy for the last time to find out her team and sensei.
"HEY! YUI!" Slowly she turned around after realizing it was the voice of her class-mate Naruto, a proud headband tied around his forehead.
"Hello Naruto." She bowed to her classmate, he came to a stop in front of her.
"Umm... Yui-chan?"
"Yes Naruto?"
"Wanna walk together?"
"We already are." He scratched the back of his head and gave a sheepish grin.
"Yeah..." They walked to the academy, Naruto doing enough talking to last Yui a lifetime.
Not once did she complain.
Most people found his voice annoying, but she found it rather calming. He had all the emotion and happiness a normal child should have and didn't understand why most villagers hated him.
No, hate would be an intense dislike.
This was fear.
Naruto, suddenly having the urge to be a gentleman, slid open the door for Yui. She nodded and walked in, they bid their 'see you soon's and walked to their end of the classroom. Naruto sat on the same table as Sasuke, so when Sakura came over, he thought it was to sit next to him.
He was mistaken.
After being rejected by Sakura, he hopped onto the table and glared at Sasuke. Sasuke glared at Naruto.
Then, it happened. Someone bumped into Naruto, resulting in him to tilt forward and collide lip-to-lip with his arch-nemesis.
"EWWWW!!! GROSS!" Fan-girls glared at Naruto while some tended to Sasuke, but all were intent to kill Naruto until...
Iruka walked in and congratulated the newly-made genin, then announced that they would be placed into teams.
Yui's POV
I traced the marks on the desk, countless scissor engravings and pencil drawings adorned it's wooden figure. Iruka-sensei had gone through half the list already, smiles and high-fives from happy students as they got together, and he has not called out my name yet.
Bother.
"Team Seven we have... Naruto Uzimaki, Sakura Haruno-" Naruto jumped into the air, fist-pumping whilst Sakura slammed her forehead onto the table.
"Sasuke Uchiha-" Now Naruto was slamming his forehead onto the table and Sakura was cheering, girls glaring at her.
"And Yui Takeda." Naruto went back to cheering, Sakura was unsure whether to cheer or to groan and Sasuke gave her an uncaring eye-roll. Naruto, obviously offended by the placement of the teams, yelled at Iruka-sensei for a little bit before being told to 'shut up', lectured about the 'team balance' and finally 'wait for your team's sensei'.
Personally, I couldn't really care less about what team I have been put on, but I am required by my parent to care a little.
THUMP

WHOOSH
Someone is coming.
"Iruka-sensei. Please allow me to venture towards the female lavatory so that I may relieve myself from-"
"Yui? Yeah, you can go..."
"Thank you Iruka-sensei." I bowed towards a traditional 90 degree angle before disappearing outside, closing the door behind me.
Of course I was to attend to my bodily needs beforehand, but afterwards I was content on following strangely masked men whom were.
"-then you pour this into the Hokage's tea, he's been so busy with all that paperwork, I'm sure he won't bother checking it." A black clad figure passed a brown drawstring pouch towards another nin. I was unfamiliar with the nin's face, but he did have the Konoha insignia on his headband.
"Hurry up and go." The black figure disappeared in a puff of smoke whilst the nin slipped the pouch into his pocket and continued to walk down the hall. I applied a small amount of chakra towards my feet, propelling me forward as I continued to following him. I sent a clone out so that Iruka-sensei would not worry. I followed him all the way to the base of the Hokage tower, by then he noticed me.
"Come out. I know you're following me." I stepped out of the tree's shadow, hands secretly digging into my back pouch for anything useful.
"Huh? It's just a kid. Trying to play ninja eh?" I suppose I did not properly pack my pouch, fumbling across a thin coil of wire and some pencils.
"Sorry kiddo, but I got a mission to do." He brandished a short katana and took a swing at me, I barely dodged it, cutting my short fringe to an even shorter slanted line. I frowned upon this. Mother wanted me to grow out my hair, particularly for fashion purposes. I kicked him "right in the family jewels" as Mother would have said. He doubled over, seemingly from the pain but I wasn't done yet.
I suppose I am going to be late to officially meet my sensei.
