"Hmm. Mmm..."

"You're mumbling to yourself again, Edgar." He spoke. Edgar swiftly turned his head to look at Luca, staring at him in disbelief.

"O-okay... Sorry." Edgar didn't know how to respond. This has happened a plethora of times before but he has never failed in catching him off guard.

"You don't need to apologise you old fool... It was nothing more but a joke." Luca chuckled, looking at Edgar with content.

Luca asked, "Is that something new you're working on?" Edgar thought life couldn't get any better than this. But he knew it could. There was one thing he always wanted. Strived for. Craved. Reciprocation. But he knew better than any other love-struck man, in love with his best friend of 9 years, that he would never get what he wanted. It just wasn't possible, as his case was unusual. He had loathed his irrevocable infatuation with this man for years. He'd ask himself, 'Why me?' or 'What did I do to deserve such a thing like this?' But he thought all of his complaining and whining was all for naught, as nothing was really going to change. He was stuck like this; imprisoned. He refocused his attention back onto the bowl of fruit in front of him, "Yeah... I know, haha. Just habit."

Luca added, "Anyways, I just wanted to let you know that dinner is ready." Edgar savoured the tastes of the cottage pie on the plate in front of him as him nor the others got anything as luxurious as this usually. Luca looked up at him, tittering as quietly as he could at the sight of how silly and gone Edgar looked in that moment. Edgar looked at him in confusion, blushing suddenly thereafter.

This was Edgar's favourite day. "No... not quite, Luca. Your... Your um..." Edgar coughed, "...pinkie has to stretch a little bit more. Here, let me just show you," Edgar sighed. Edgar placed his hand on top of Luca's, dripping with sweat. Luca's hand twitched. He took a quick glance at Edgar, noticing the way his bangs curled, and the near perfect redness of the bow his hair was tied into. He took note of the exact shade of brown his eyes were, and the way they shined in the sunlight coming from the window behind them. He examined the paleness of his body, but almost comedic flush of his cheeks. He just then noticed Edgar's irritated stare. "Do you want to do this or not? I need to do my chores..." Luca's body temperature rise, growing more embarrassed by the second. He pondered to himself, 'Had I been staring?' Edgar giggled, "Don't be so serious. It's just a piano lesson, after all."
