The week passed by quick and before i knew it my aunt was back, and my sister got enrolled in a school and she moved in with my aunt. i felt like a big step knowing my mom was back home and doesn't have long but i knew i had to keep myself together just for my own sake.
Gavi's parents invited us to dinner tonight so i was on a tight schedule when i got home from work.
"y/n do you have the stat papers for Torre?" i heard someone say from the other side of my office door.
"Yup, I do," I replied, getting up from my desk and opening the door to find Carmen standing there.
"Great, do you have the other papers for the meeting tomorrow?" she asked as she reached for the papers.
"Yes, I'm finishing up the last one." i said handing her the papers.
"Ok, see you tomorrow then." she said starting to walk back to her office.
i went back into my office and finished my work, i finished early so i mostly sat there on my phone until Victoria came in.
"i finished all my work" she said as she sat on the little couch "I'm not bothering am i."
"No, I'm done too" i said putting my phone down.
"Pedri has been extremely, distant and i don't know what to do." she said.
"Oh, I'm sorry, maybe he's just been very stressed or something" i said trying to reassure her "but if you want me, you and Sira can all go out for a girl's night out on Friday."
"Yes please" she said her voice a bit happier.
"Okay, great" i said looking at the time, "mh, i have dinner with Gavi's parents later and i need to go home to get ready."
"Do you want me to take you home?" she asked.
"That would be great" i said grabbing my bag.
We headed out to the parking lot, and she drove me home. I thanked her and headed inside to get ready for dinner. I put on a nice dress, did my hair and makeup, and went down and got into my uber.
Gavis Parents's house was really pretty very modern, i took a deep breath before knocking on the door.
"y/n! Me alegra que pudieras venir"(y/n! glad you could make it) Gavi's mother greeted me with a warm smile as she opened the door. "pasa, pasa"(come in, come in)
"Hola! gracias por invitarme"(thanks for having me) I said, stepping inside.
"por nada cariño" (of corse honey)
we went into the house and sat down at the table and waited for the dinner to be ready.
we all talked and then Gavi whispered in my ear."want to come over after?"
"I'll have to think about it" i said jokingly, he playfully nudged my arm. "Sure, I'll go over."
we went back to eating dinner and talking, after dinner we all sat in the living room and Gavis mom showed me photo books from when Gavi was young.
"We better get going, it's getting late" Gavi said standing up and going over to give his mom a hug.
"Ok, well it was great to have you, y/n" she said pulling away and giving a hug to me.
"Thank you for having me" I said with a smile.
We headed out to the uber and went home. when we got to Gavis house i forced Gavi to watch the show that he hates before bed.
