JENNIFER'S POV
''Jennifer!'' a guy scream my name from my side still i could not bring my self to move. I could hear my heart beat so fast, i was losing my mind , like i was about to faint. I took a deep breath and grabbed the mic, the lights were blinding my eyes. Everyone was watching me , and i just sang my heart out without even thinking and it left everybody shocked and before i knew it the crowd was cheering , i got a standing novation!
''Wow that was great Jen! you did well''
"Thank you, I'm glad i did it, thank you jay'' I was genuinely appreciative.
"See i told you, you have a beautiful voice, i think so, they think so too" he said, giving me his most convincing smile.
"So do i" A voice said from behind us , i look back and see one of the man i saw next to Micheal Montego.
"S-s-simon Montego" Jay exclaimed whilst he stuttered.
"Simon Montego?" I asked fairly confused.
"Micheal Montego's son" Jay whispered to me.
"I... Would like to offer you a chance to work at Montego Music" He said handing me his business card.
"Thank you Mr Montego" I say accepting it while Jay is there grinning like a child.
"pleasure" he fixed he's suit and walked away.
I turned the paper to see an address, a house address that is.
"What is it?" Jay asked grabbing the paper and reading.
"What should I do?" I ask him, feeling fairly nervous, since dad has hated me singing.
"Go!" he yells.
"but -" he cut me off.
"listen Jen, this is a once in a lifetime opportunity, I know it's a long shot, many auditions here, but wouldn't hurt to try, and don't worry about dad... he'll come around soon enough" Jay was right, but who's to say I wouldn't get hurt.
I nod my head looking in the direction of the Montego family seeing them all talk like people who have met for the first time for business, if they didn't have these features, you'd think they were strictly partners from different rich families.
"Jen!" Jay yells snapping me out of my thoughts. " did you hear me!?" he exclaims.
"mm hm" I respond nodding while keeping my eyes on the Montego family noticing that they don't do any sort of physical contact what so ever, and now to think about the sisters, freda and Azanthi, are the only ones who are close.
"Earth to Jennifer!" Jay, always interrupting the moment, ugh.
"let's go Jay"I say pushing past him.
