Amy walked out of the shared office and back to her car she had got to the shelter in. Hopeful that she had proven a point to the man who had tried to embarrass her the moment before. She turned on the radio and listened to whatever pop song was on the main-stream radio stations.
As she got home she clicked a button on the keys of her car to shut it down and opened the small flat that her parents payed for her to live in. It wasn't the nicest of accommodations but it was just the right size for one person and all of her belongings. The apartment was one bedroom one bathroom and had a small open-plan kitchen living room area decorated with clutter and piles of books on the floor.  Nevertheless she loved her little apartment as a rich man would love his mansion.

Amy fell on her double bed that took up most of the space inside her bedroom and groaned to herself. She barley had enough food to last the week onwards so she would have to go out and get some soon. Her bank account was already in denial with her. After getting out of the shower and changing into some mix matched pyjamas Amy fell straight to sleep under the comfort of her singular blanket that held just a small amount of warmth.
The next day she was overwhelmed with various messages and emails from her phone which had unfortunately not charged during the night, the cables end snapped and she would have to buy another one. Amy got herself ready as she looked through the phone wasting little to no time as she needed to save power in case on an emergency. She was out of her apartment by six o clock and was in her car racing towards the office. Today was a team meeting where both shelters and others around the county would come together a discuss different sales pitches and what not. She had recently been volunteered by her own shelter to attend the meeting, most of which was because nobody else wanted to go.

She slid out of her car and grabbed her large handbag that was occupying the seat next to her. As she walked in however one of the straps from her bag snapped and left her to trip over her own feet. As she recovered from her stumble in the middle of the parking lot, Amy looked up to see the very same, very annoying, very egotistical face that she had seen last night. He was staring right at her with a smirk on his face and a new found scar on his hand which Amy hoped was form one of the cats she had cared for. "Falling for me already?" He asked as she got closer to the front entrance. "Gawking over me?" She replied back as she stepped closer to the doors of the office. "That would require me to think you're pretty, sunshine." He paused slightly before the nickname sunshine rolled off his tongue and glanced at her after. "I'm ten steps above pretty!" Amy snapped back with a witty smile across her face and a hand reached out to grab the bar of the door. However a much larger and veinier hand grabbed a hold of it before and Amy looked back to see that it was the same twit. He pulled the door open and held it for her. She nodded her head towards him and stepped inside moving to the left and she got in as she assumed he would follow her in. Yet she was met with confusion as she looked back to see that he was still outside and had moved his attention on to the other cars pulling into the car park. She shrugged the gesture off and assumed that he was waiting for one of his colleagues or possibly wanted to have a one up on her so that she would owe him a favour.
