You opened your eyes, finding yourself lying on a river bank. A gentle breeze blew through the air, and the sky was blue.

This place was nothing like the stormy sea you had just been in– was this death?

You slowly sat up, feeling your body. Were you actually dead?

"Who might you be?" A voice called out.

You looked up, your eyes widening in surprise. Who had just spoken?

"I--I'm Y/N," You replied, your voice quiet and meek. "Where are you? Who are you?"

A figure emerged from behind a large tree. His skin was a transparent blue, and his head seemed to be shaped like a crescent-- nay, a moon.

"I am Moonjumper," he replied, his voice comforting, yet firm. "Are you okay? You are sopping wet."

You felt your face go hot. How had you forgotten about such a huge issue? You were supposed to be dead.

"No, I'm not," you answered, suddenly panicked. "I'm supposed to be dead! I-- I'm not supposed to be here!"

He tilted his head, his dark eyes looking you up and down.

"I can assure you; you are still alive." He said, his voice assuming a comforting tone.

"How would you know?" You shot back, beginning to stand up.

He was silent for a moment, and you feared you had made him upset. Slowly, he began to speak.

"I am dead." He replied, the starry sparkles in his eyes fading. "I have been for a while."

You slowly took a step back, assessing Moonjumper further. You knew he couldn't have been human-- but you didn't think he was of the undead.

As your eyes traced the lower half of his body, you realized that he was floating an inch or two off of the ground.

"A ghost," you said, slowly. "You're a ghost."
