S04:E10

•~3rd person P.O.V~•
"Good news. Looks like it's just a pulled muscle. It may ache, but you'll be fine." Maya let out a sigh of relief.

"Oh, thank God." Her mom muttered, releasing Maya's hand from her tight grasp.

"So does that mean that I can keep fighting?" Miguel asked, glancing at Johnny.

"They've given you 30 minutes to recover. So let the pain guide you. If it's telling you to sit this one out, I'd listen. I'll get you an ice pack." The medic said, starting to leave.

"Thank you," Miguel uttered before the medic left the room. Soon after their mom and Ya-Ya left as well. Maya quickly turned to Miguel. Miguel had expressed that he wanted to find their dad after the tournament, he wanted to find himself.

"Miggy, please, please stay. Just stay until I lose, and then you can go and find Dad, I promise I won't tell mom just stay and watch me. Please." Maya spoke in Spanish so Johnny wouldn't understand them. Slowly, Miguel nodded and Maya had to go out with the other Eagle Fangs. She was worried to death about Miguel, but she still wanted to win. She still needed to win for Johnny. Maya sighed, seeing as Kenny still wasn't with the Cobra's, she decided to go and check on him.

She walked inside the boy's locker room and saw Kenny holding Anthony by his chin. Maya saw the freakish smile on Kenny's face. She hated it. It was an all too familiar evil Cobra Kai smile.

"Get ready for high school next year, because your gonna be in a world of pain," Kenny muttered, why wasn't Robby doing anything?! Robby just stood there and watched!

"Kenny Payne!" Maya yelled, grabbing him by his shoulder. "What the hell are you doing?!" Kenny looked at her, confused, why was she mad at him? He didn't want her mad at him.

"I'm doing what I was taught, Cobra Kai." Maya clenched her jaw, poking the inside of her cheek with her tongue as she glared at Robby. She turned to Kenny again.

"I was afraid this would happen. Do you know what you're doing, Kenny? You're becoming like the very people who you wanted to desperately escape from, you're becoming like the people who you learned karate to defend yourself from." Kenny got the message, and Maya thought he was a bully. He wasn't! Kenny wanted to yell and scream, he wasn't a bully! Maya pushed past him and heaved Anthony up, pushing him in front of her and out of the boy's dressing rooms.

She brought Anthony to Daniel, who saw her very pissed-looking face. He immediately thought Anthony had done something again, but he was wrong. Anthony was utterly confused. Just the other day Maya said he was an asshole, now she was sticking up for him? She wasn't making any sense.

"Oh my god, what did he-"

"He didn't do anything, Kenny was beating up on him in the boy's locker room, and from what I understand Anthony didn't start it." Maya lifted her hand from Anthony's shoulder. "You might wanna teach him, he's gonna need it." Maya sighed, returning to Eagle Fang. Her whole world was falling apart around her.

Kenny was an ass. Robby was an ass. Sam was an ass. Miguel was hurt. Eagle Fang and Miyagi Do were losing to Cobra Kai. Maya was quite literally going to die any time now. She needed to push through it all. She needed to get rid of Cobra Kai.

Finally, Maya would get her wish. She was going up against Sam. She hopped up on the mat, she'd been waiting for this moment for so long now. She could do what Silver had taught her. Take all of her anger and drive it through her punches and kicks.

She had to remember all of Sam's snarky remarks, all the times she never stood up for Aisha, the time when she blamed Miguel for their break up when she kissed Miguel at the party that caused the whole school fight, she had to remember it all.
