"Ahh!!! I missed you guys so much" Lisa screamed as I stepped out of the car. People walking by shot us a brief stare at her loud greeting not that Lisa cared. It didn't matter that we stood in front of one of the top restaurants filled with soft jazz and light conversations. She was everything I never thought I needed in a friend, loud and uncaring of what others thought.

She took my proper slacks and had me switch them out for crop tops. Needless to say, my father wasn't her biggest fan but still tolerated our friendship.

"Hey" I said much quieter once she was in my arms. Suddenly we were being ingulfed by two other people after a good second we pulled apart. "Let the drinking commence". Once we reached the table, we waited for the host to help us into our seats and hand us our napkins. All four of us girls grew up in the same world.

The ones who went to etiquette schools attended charity galas and an extra house in the Hamptons. The only difference is that only two out of the four of us that were born with freedom. They had zero expectations of who they needed to be as long as they didn't shame the family beyond repair.

"Can I get you girls something to drink". "We'll take a bottle of Moet and Chandon ice imperial" she winked. "To start". "I don't think I'll be up with the night you guys have planned". "You never are. All though you do look good in that black rib ruched mini dress".

"Yeah" I said rolling my eyes. The waiter came back with our champagne filling the slim glasses until the bubbles almost overflowed. "So, who is your mystery husband to be?". I shot Jisoo a glare as soon as the word 'husband' came out of her mouth. "Sorry but you're going to have to talk about it soon. I mean you can't ignore the situation forever".

I wanted to argue with her, but I couldn't because I knew she was right. I couldn't ignore the situation any longer but how could I talk about it when I feel like my whole life has just been taken away from me. And I haven't even started my life yet.

"Can we please not discuss anything about arrange marriages. We came out to forget about it drink our sorrows away so please let's enjoy tonight before we go back to Ms. Ellegant's".

Rose picked up her glass full of sparkling champagne tipping it back to her lips. I turned to Lisa who was a little bit quiet usually she would be the first to pipe in on these conversations. Only this time her eyes were fixated on something else I followed her eyes to the back corner. She was staring at a man in a black suit and no tie talking to a guy in tweed.

Ew, who wears tweed in the summer?

The champagne I'd been drinking almost slipped from my dropped jaws. Holy. Shit. "Jesus...". "Right? God just look at him. I don't think I've ever seen such buff arms before". "You should go talk to him". "Absolutely not." I shook my head and faced her again. But adjusted my place in the seat, so I could sneak a few looks without being obvious.

"Why not?". "Because he looks.... busy. I don't know I can't just go up to someone in the middle of a restaurant and...and". "And what? please sir" she said in a seductive tone. "Can I have some more?". I laughed, watching his hand drag through his black hair. His long fingers driving through the thick strands.

When he turned enough for me to get a more direct look, I melted a little more at his full lips. They were lush and even more pronounced from the surrounding scruff. How could a man look so unbelievably masculine with lips like that?

"I can't". I shook off any ideas Lisa tried to convince me to follow through on, coming back to reality. "Why not isn't it better to have a night of freedom before you know what". Omg not this again I'm so sick of hearing of this arrange marriage thing. "Hello, wakeup call I never had any freedom. Besides he's probably taken he's not exactly putting off welcoming vibes".

She rolled her eyes. "What vibes he looks pretty nice to me". "You can tell a lot about a person based on the energy they put off. And not in an aura kind of way, but just the personality they portray. He hasn't even smiled".

He briefly glanced in our direction but was too far away for me to see his eye color. They'd look like dark pools you'd get lost in. And not in the dreamy, good way. The fall into a dark pit of nothingness, hoping to find any light only to find more darkness. His dinner partner laughed, but the delicious stranger remained just as stoic.

"God, he's hot. Just go up to him and talk to him. Your hot enough with your black hair and bleached tips. You can blink those doe eyes up at him he'll forced to find out if you're as innocent as you look or if it's all a scam just to cover up the true freak that you are".

I choked an uncomfortable laugh, looking away to hide my blush. "I-I'm not a freak". At least I don't think I am. "That's because a man like him hasn't shown you that you'd do anything even the freakiest shit just to please him". I watched him a little longer. Taking in the elegant movement of his fingers gripping the glass bringing it to rest on the lushest lips I'd ever seen.

For a moment I imagined the bold woman Lisa wanted me to be. I imagined strutting over there and falling into his lap, letting his strong arms catch me.

I watched the thick column of his throat move up and down when he swallowed. I bit my lip when he pulled the glass away only to be followed by the quick swipe of his tongue. I imagined his deep voice asking me if I was okay- asking me if I wanted to go home with him. I imagined saying yes. "Ladies please can we stop staring at Mr. Hot stuff and help us finish this bottle".
