The room was quite, subtle sounds of fingers taping on their keyboard, rustling paper, and a few whispers.
Hope pulled out her laptop from her bag placing it on the desk infront of her, she began annotating a peice of material sent to her for an assignment.

She moved her fingers diligently, pressing the keys. Her focus on her work, no distractions. No distractions, until the loud 'Bam!' of the classroom doors opening disturbed everyone.
Each student swung their head towards the door, and there stood a tall lanky man, his papers scattered on the floor.

The professor looked at him annoyed,
"Mr. Gold, do you have an explanation on why your almost twenty minutes late. Where were you? And what buissness do you have disrupting my lesson. " He scourned, crossing his arms in disapproval.
The man scurried to pick up his papers, only to drop them again.

This made hope let out a soft, 'quiet' laugh, but even a quiet laugh sounds loud in an even quieter room. The professor, and everyone , locked eyes on hope."You think this is funny Ms. Peterson?".

Hope and the man were both kicked out of class for the day. Hope headed to the near by cafe, and the man followed her. She didn't think anything of it.

She took a seat by the window setting up her laptop, when she was halfway through typing out an apology email to her professor, a tap on the table caught her attention.
She looked up to see the man, holding two beverages with a dorky smile on his face. "May i sit her Miss..Peterson was it?" He asked.

She nodded, and he took the seat across from her. He set the drinks down, gently sliding one over to hope. She looked at the drink, than him and took the drink whith a puzzled expression. "Sorry for the, getting kicked out of class thing.." he explained.
" Its not your fault-, I was the one who laughed, if I didn't laugh I wouldn't of gotten kicked out. I mean, I could of stopped myself from laughing." She Conceded, afraid she had made the man feel guilty.

" Lets move on from that boring subject-" he said sitting properly in his seat as he extends his arm to hope. "Im william, but people usually call me wilbur." He said with the same dorky smile on his face as when he approached her. She took his hand and shook it, "Hope." She replied simply.

He cocked his brow, "Hope? What an interesting name." He said keeping his eyes on her as he took a sip of his coffee. She sighed, "Hippy parents" she stated blatantly. He nodded with a smirk.

Hope looked back at her computer, checking the time. Wilbur, being curious turned her laptop to face him and began to read her annotations. Hope awkwardly sat there, she didn't protest him reading it because she know eventually she would have to make a presentation on it or something like that.

He furrowed his brows when he concentrated, so to others, he looked annoyed when reading. This made hope slightly nervous.

He suddenly turned the laptop around and pointed at one of her annotations on the scree . "You spelled that wrong" he said with a cheeky grin. Hope let out an airy lugh.

" Im going to head back to my dorm, what your dorm number? " He asked as he got up grabbing his bag and his drink.

She looked at him confused, "B25, why?" She questioned. "I was hoping we could work on that project together, im a little behind and you seem very educated and literate" he said as they walked out of the cafe together.

"Uh yeah sure-." She answered.
He nodded, after that they went there separate ways.

Hope reached her dorm, opening the door she placed her bag down by the door and went to her desk to continue annotations and emails.

She also thought about him, wilbur. And his stupid smile, curly hair, and lanky arms.

'Was it offputting to think of someone you just met in such a manner?' Hope thought. She brushed it off and continued.

A couple of hours later a knock rang at her door. She went to the door, placing her hand firmly around the brass handle.

Hope was then woke up by the sound of her alarm.

She sat up in her bed, looking over at the small alarm on her bedside table. 4:25 am, it read. Pressing the button on the top, silencing the deafening beeping. She slipped out of her covers and into her slippers, placed neatly by her bed.

She shuffles to the bathroom, looking in the mirror. Her eyes where bloodshot, and her hair was knotted and messy. She pushed her hair back, before turning the faucet on and splashing cold water on her face. This would hopefully wake her up a tad bit more.

She wiped the excess water away whith the towel on the rack. Grabbing her brush she combed the knotts from her hair.

She put her brush on the counter and walked to her closet. She opened the closet doors and began looking through her choices. She took out a black tshirt,  her forest green flannel, and some baggy black ripped jeans.  She grabbed a pair or socks along whith her vans.

She stripped herself of the clothes she slept in , slipping her clean ones on. Pinning her dark wavy hair into a neat braid. She then grabbed her suitcases, her purse, and any other things she would need before leaving her, now old, apartment.

She waited outside for her uber. She was moving back to the UK after 3 years. She planned on moving in with an old friend she met in Uni.

Hope had grown up in the UK, but moved to the states after college. She explained it to people as "a change of scenery ".

A black car pulls into the parking lot, after checking the information she slipped into the backseat along with two suitcases.

The ride to the airport wasn't very exciting. The sky was still dark, and everything looked gloomy. Hope missed the beautiful mornings in the UK.
