Ao’nung was frustrated. He fucked up big time. He let the worst get the best of him. He apologized and did his best to make amends with the Sully's which sort of worked out.

Everything was too much for him, he never knew how to control his emotions. Unlike Tsireya. But, there was something he enjoyed doing during times like these that helped him forget how he felt. Not even Tsireya, his sister who he usually always confided in knew about this.

It was a little past eclipse when Ao’nung snuck out when he heard his parents sleeping. He walked out of the marui towards the shore where he went and softly called for his Ilu who came soon after, happily chirping. He caressed her soft and wet skin while he formed tsaheylu. He enjoyed the feeling of bonding with his Ilu, he could see his Ilus memories of going beyond the reef and back, riding around the sea freely and playing with other Ilus. Ao’nung sat himself on her and guided her to a secret cave that he'd go to often.

He rode her enjoying the breeze against his skin while water flew onto his face. He then reached the destination he was headed towards that he visited thousands of times and got off his Ilu. He stepped onto the sand ontop the rocks and allowed himself deeper into the cave.

The cave was practically glowing vibratly with colors shimmering. Ao’nung trailed his hand against the bumpy walls and walked. He allowed himself to ease up and smile.

"This cave never fails to amaze me..."

Ao’nung felt free when he reached where he wanted to be. His tense shoulders relaxing as he began to forget everything. All his duties, responsibilities, chores, and his worries. In this cave they all meant nothing , not when he wanted to enjoy himself.

"Hah, I always enjoy coming here! So soothing and beautiful." He said to no one in particular.

He'd come here for one reason. To dance. Dancing came to him naturally like 2nd nature. Dancing for him was so free and thrilling. So, that's what he started to do, he danced.

He let his body twirl slowly at first and then let his arms free in the air. He jumped and dived into a small pond where his Ilu could come. He danced around with his Ilu and eventually stood ontop of her.

He enjoyed dancing with his Ilu as did she. She glided the waters as much as she was allowed to in the small space and Ao’nung would laugh as he had trouble balancing. He'd then fallen but still danced in the waters along with his Ilu. They circled around each other swiftly like they were in a world of their own. Ao’nungs body moved one with the water, flowing freely and letting his hands up into the air. He had forgotten about the time as it went by quicker than he had expected.

Ao’nungs ears twitched when he heard breathing that did not belong to him.

Ao’nung pushed his thoughts out when he realized he wasn't alone with just his ilu inside the cave. His eyes searched the dim cave and they landed on a certain dark blue Na'vi staring at him in awe.

Ao’nung froze up a bit stiffening at the awkward eye-contact he'd made with him.

"Ao’nung?" He called out.

Ao’nung didn't know what to do. How long was he there for? Ao’nung stayed in his position still just looking back at the boy.

"Sorry for intruding.. I didn't expect someone else to be here."

Neteyam walked closer to where Ao’nung was.

Ao’nung got out of the water slowly and onto the floor as water dripped down his hair.

"No it's alright... it's not like I own the cave or anything."

Ao’nung didn't dare make eye-contact with who he realized was Neteyam, too embarrassed that he was caught up with himself and never noticed the boy.

They stood there until Ao’nung broke the silence.

"So, how much did you see..?" Ao’nung played around with his knife around his loincloth as he was asking nervously.

"Well, maybe half of it..?"

Ao’nung wanted to slap himself and he was going to. He was briefly stopped as Neteyam’s hand gripped his wrist.

"Please, don't hit yourself. You dance beautifully anyways.." Neteyam was looking straight at Ao’nung, he could tell he was being serious.

They both looked at each other, Ao’nung whose face was now tinted slightly with blush when he heard his words. Neteyam whose hair seemed alive, was now as still as the ocean.

Without realizing it, Neteyam leaned his face closer towards Ao’nung slowly taking his hands towards his waist grabbing it softly. Neteyam didn’t understand what he as doing, it was as if his body was just moving, wanting to do something he terribly longed for.

He was stopped when he felt Ao’nung hands on against his mouth. He snapped out of his thoughts and was going to speak until Ao’nung broke away from his grasp dashed towards his Ilu and swam away leaving Neteyam alone.

"Haha..."

Neteyam left dazed by the past events as he crouched down blushing furiously. All of a sudden he was aware of how fast his heart was beating. He smacked his head softly and cursed at himself.
