We had now changed into some of our old Narnian clothes. Much more comfortable than our school uniforms.
We were at the beach when we saw 2 soldiers about to throw a dwarf off of a boat.
Susan fired a warning shot at there boat.
"Drop him!" She yelled.
Probably not the best choice of words Susan.
They did as exactly she said and dropped him.
In...
the...
water.
Peter and I sprinted to the water and Susan shot one of the soldiers as the other jumped out of the boat.
Peter got the dwarf out of the water while I got the boat.
We took them both back to shore with us.
When Peter put the dwarf down Lucy cut the rope around his wrists.
"Drop him?!" He yelled at Susan as he stood. "That's the best you can come up with."
"A simple 'thank you' would suffice." She scoffed.
"They were doing fine drowning me without your help." He said.
"Maybe we should have let them." Peter shouted.
"Why were they trying to kill you, anyway?" Lucy asked.
"They're Telmarines. That's what they do." He said.
"Telmarines? In Narnia?" I asked confused.
"Where have you been for the last few hundred years?" He scoffed.
"It's a bit of a long story." Lucy said as Susan passed Peter his sword.
He saw the sword and his eyes widened.
"Oh, you've got to be kidding me. You're it? You're the Kings and Queens of old?" He asked.
"High King Peter, the Magnificent." Peter said holding out his hand to shake.
"You probably could've left off the last bit." Susan said.
"Probably." The dwarf laughed.
"You might be surprised." Peter said unsheathing his sword.
"Oh, you don't want to do that, boy." He threatened.
"Not me. Him." He a said nodding to me, making me smirk.
I unsheathed my sword as Peter handed his to the dwarf. I was excited about this. It had been a while since I've had a good sword fight.
The dwarf found the sword heavy and almost couldn't hold it.
I was the second best sword fighter in the golden age, (Y/n) of course being the best. This was gonna be easy.
I was wrong.
He caught me by surprise and swinged the sword when I wasn't looking.
I ducked down low to avoid the sword and he hit me in the face.
"Edmund!" Lucy yelled.
"Oh, you all right?" The dwarf teased.
I managed to avoid his hit and turned around hitting him on his back.
I managed to get the sword out of his hand and it landed on the sand as I held my sword in front of him.
He sat down in shock.
"Beards and bedsteads! Maybe that horn worked after all." He said looking at us.
I lowered my sword confused.
"What horn?" Susan asked.
(Y/n)'s POV:
I was sitting in the kitchen with badger and Nikabrik.
Elizabeth resting was on my knee.
Because of the spell she still looks about 3 months old and I 14.
"This bread is so stale." Nikabrik complained.
"I'll just give him some soup then. He should be coming around soon." Badger suggested.
"Yeah, well, I don't think I hit him hard enough." Nikabrik said.
"Nikabrik, he's just a boy." Badger yelled.
"He's a Telmarine, not some lost puppy. You said you were gonna get rid of him." Nikabrik yelled.
"No. I said i'd take care of him. We can't Jill him now. I just bandaged his head. It would be like murdering a guest." Badger said.
"Oh and how do you think his friends are treating their guest!" Nikabrik asked.
"Trumpkin knew what he was doing. It's not the boy's fault." I spoke, tired of their bickering.
Suddenly, Caspian jumped out from the bedroom, Nikabrik took out his sword and Caspian grabbed the fire poker.
"Stop."
"Stop!"
"Hold it!"
"Hold it."
"No."
"No!"
Badger and I yelled.
"I told you we should've killed him when we had the chance." Nikabrik said.
"You know why we can't." I yelled at him. Putting Elizabeth in her basinet, so she would not get caught up in the crossfire.
"If we are taking a vote, I'm with them." Caspian said gesturing over to badger and I.
"We can't just let him go. He's seen us." Nikabrik shouted swinging his sword making Caspian fall down.
"Enough, Nikabrik! Or do I have to sit on your head again?" Badger threatened. "And you." He said looking at Caspian. "Look what you made me do. I spent half the morning on that soup."
"What are you?" Caspian asked.
"You know, it's funny that you would ask that. You think people would know a badger when they saw one." Badger responded.
"No. No, I mean... you're Narnians. You're supposed to be extinct." He said confused.
"Sorry to disappoint you." Nikabrik responded.
"Here you go. Still hot." Badger said putting a bowl of soup on the table.
"Since when did we own a boarding house for Telmarine soldiers?" Nikabrik said.
"I'm not a soldier. I am Prince Caspian. The tenth." He said.
"What are you doing here?" Nikabrik asked confused.
"Running away. My uncle has always wanted my throne." Caspian said putting the fire poker back where he found it. "I suppose I have only lived this long because he did not have a heir of his own." Caspian spoke sadly as he stared into the fire.
"Oh... that changes things." Badger said.
"Yeah. Means we don't have to kill you ourselves." Nikabrik said.
"You're right." Caspian said, then walked over to his armour.
"Where are you going?" I asked.
"My uncle won't stop until I am dead." Caspian said putting on his vest.
"But... you can't leave. You're meant to save us." Badger said, making Caspian turn around to look at us.
"Don't you know what this is?" I asked quietly holding up Susan's horn.
