- Why do you always have to look so hot without making the slightest effort? - Momo complained turning my attention to her. My eyes wander slowly until they meet hers, that stray dog face stamped on me. - Don't start! -
I laughed out loud shaking my head.

- I'm not doing anything, Momo - I replied looking down at the phone again.

- That's why. You are so naturally beautiful that it irritates me. - I pretended to be uninterested, but I was loving that situation. I loved watching her vent what must be her internal debates. - These eyes don't help either, as if this weren't enough you still have them there looking like two stones fixed on your face.

- Are you going to pick on me now? It's not my fault I was born that way. - I quickly lifted my face to send her a wink.

- Urgh. - she grunted crossing the room for the thousandth time, she said she was putting what seemed to be the final touches on her look, but that had already taken almost an hour and I already had my doubts about what she called the final touches. - Does Chaeyoung know you're beautiful like that?

- Chaeyoung? - I looked up at the mention of her name, stopping to think about it for a moment. - I don't think we ever talked about it. I have no idea if she knew me from before. It doesn't look like it, but who knows. - I shrugged.

- Look... Would you make out with me today? Be honest.

I looked up and saw those wonderful ex-gymnast legs that she had on display thanks to her short dress and I didn't need anything else to send her my most sincere reply.

- Without a shadow of a doubt. - Momo laughed and snapped her fingers.

- Let's go!

- Hallelujah Lord. - I stood up throwing my arms up causing her to roll her eyes.

- I'll drive! - she shouted turning suddenly in front of me with a pleading look. I squinted my eyes for a moment and handed her my car keys.

- Have I told you that you are the best friend in the world? - she threw herself into my arms, kissed me on the cheek and walked back, almost running, in front of me waving her keys in the air.

- Blah blah blah, gold digger. - I chuckled, closing the door behind me.

We took the path a little longer than necessary, Momo wanted to test driving in every way and did not stop screaming two seconds since she started the engine. The streets of New York were the scene of her momentary disorder, she threw the car into tight and open curves, accelerated on long or short tracks. For all her craziness her joy was infectious and it was more than I could ever want. Seeing her happy was seeing me happy, and knowing that I helped happen made everything even better.

We arrived at the girl's house that didn't seem to have changed at all, it was exactly as I remembered it: full of party lights, loud music, drunk people and that huge front lawn. Really that was all I remembered because that was just what I used to go there for, and by the way, what happened there was not even a "mini party".

We were greeted by a girl who disgusted me right away, that rich daddy's girl face and that ridiculous look of assessment about us. I cut her off and slipped into the crowded room, hearing a chorus calling my name and being, shortly after, pulled into a circle without even having the chance to say anything.

I don't really know how much time has passed, but I do know that I dedicated a good part of it to the warm welcome crowd. A group of young people were gathered, chatting, drinking and, as always, reminiscing about our bad habits as if I were a long-term traveller.
I fed the crops and refused drinks. It got to the point where I had to pour myself a glass of water to get them to stop offering me things. Having something in my hands was like a "no thanks" sign and helped me maintain my posture.
