Trees whizzed by me as Akari continued to push past the pain, old man aka Kakashi was behind her as they travelled through the forest "Akari why don't you head back you should be resting because of your injury, don't worry I can handle this" Kakashi offered "No I'm going to do this mission" Akari told him, pushing herself to go even faster and further away from him.
"Akari at least slow down otherwise your just going to injure yourself even more"he advised, 'I'm starting to get annoyed with this' , "Listen old man I can take care of myself" Akari snapped at him, he just looked at her with slight annoyance.
But taking his advice she slowed down until she was beside him the pain in her leg lessening.
Akari looked at anything but him because if she did she just knew she'll feel guilty for snapping at him when he's done nothing wrong, feeling his gaze on her she finally looked at him, his eyes held so much concern and a flicker of something else but she wasn't sure what it was, 'why is he concerned anyway I mean he doesn't like me at all right?'
"Sorry" she apologised, now he looked somewhat confused "sorry for what?" yep he was confused "For snapping at you when you were just giving me some advice" Akari said looking at the ground feeling like a child again "It's all right Akari, so what's up with you anyway your being unusually quiet today"he stated "Oh nothing I just got a bit of a headache"she said trying to avoid the subject.
"Are you sure I mean I know you Akari and I know that your smart enough to know that you shouldn't be going on a mission when your injured so why are you?" Kakashi asked of course he would be the one to notice something like this "Nothing I just wanted to go on a mission okay"she told him, he just looked at her unconvinced "Is something wrong at home?" he asked "No" she replied a little to quickly "ok then"he said.
As they continued to jump through the trees the silence was starting to become awkward "You know if there is something wrong you can always talk to me right"he said 'ok what the hell first he doesn't like me now he's being all buddy buddy with me.'
"well it's just my dad again" 'what the hell why did I say that ' "what do you mean again?" he questioned "It's just he's constantly criticising everything I do and constantly comparing me to Itachi no matter what I do, he always points out my mistakes and never tries to encourage me I mean sometimes it's like I'm not even his daughter any more"she told him 'why am I telling him this I mean we don't like each other so why would he care.'
"Ok Akari your an amazing ninja just like your brother don't listen to your dad if he cant see you for you then why should you have to care what he says" Kakashi said 'woah I didn't know he thought of me like that', Akari looked at him and gave him a small smile a strange feeling beginning to form in her stomach "Thanks Kakashi" she said.
'What's this feeling I mean I've never felt like this before? What is it? What are you doing to me Kakashi Hatake?'
