He and Ochako had been talking for months now, and it was getting close to the UA entrance exam. It seemed like so long ago when his dream was to be a hero, but he had a far more important duty now. He and Serpenterra had smashed several more facilities that had been harming the enviroment. He felt like now was the time to extend the offer to Ochako, he hoped she accepted. He had broached the idea of introducing her to Gaia, and both Goji and Gaia had agreed, stating it was a good idea. At least then the girl could see a physical representation of how the planet was feeling. He was sat at their usual table, waiting for Ochako to show up. Ochako had given him a kiss a few days ago, a brief peck on the cheek, and he wondered what it meant about their relationship. "Hi Izu." Ochako called from besides him as she slid into a seat and rested her head on his shoulder. She was wearing her school uniform, telling him exactly where she had come from. He wrapped an arm around her back. "Hi Ocha, how was your day?" Ochako sighed, and all of the tension he had seen in her body language vanished. "Same old, same old. Still being made fun of because I'm poor. I think the only way it could get worse is if I was quirkless on top of being poor, bloody assholes." He rested his head atop hers and she leaned in to him. "Hey Ocha, I have something to show you. Would you like to see it?" Ochako looked curious. "Sure, I would love to see what you want to show me." Ochako blushed as her stomach rumbled. He eyed her suspicously. "Did you eat anything today?" Ochako ducked her head sheepishly. "No, I couldn't afford anything." He sighed, this was a common thing that she did. It was a good thing he had money to spend, his dad having given him access to his bank account. Considering his dad never used said account and had likely forgotten it existed, Izuku was free to spend as much as he wanted on his friend, so long as he didn't drain the account. Not that that would be an issue, since his dad earned enough money that he could buy literally anything Ochako could want, a house and a motor bike, and still have loads of yen left. He led her to an abandoned factory, ensuring they werent followed so that they wouldn't be disturbed. Ochako looked around Curiously. "So what is it you wanted to show me?" She asked. He took her hands. "Do you trust me Ocha?"
"I do." He smiled as his hands cupped her face. "Good." Gaia assissted him in pulling Ochako into Gaia's grove. To the outside world, they where sat there completely still, his hands glowing blue against her temples and her eyes rolled into the back of her head as if she had just had a really hard orgasm. Ochako looked around curiously. "Izu, where are we?"
"You are in my grove, Ochako Uraraka." Ochako spun around to come face to face with Gaia, fear filling her features as she backed up into him. He pulled the pinked cheeked girl into a hug, holding onto her wrists. "Don't worry, she did the same thing to me."
"Izu, who is this? How does she know my name?" Ochako was most certainly freaking out. He held her tighter before responding "this is Gaia, the physical representation of the earth. I suppose you could call her the spirit of the earth." Ochako glanced up at him, then looked back as Gaia started having a coughing fit. He let go of Ochako to grab hold of Gaia, rubbing her on the back as she coughed. "Is she okay?" Ochako asked, a concerned look in her eyes. "No, her body represents the earth's condition. The worse the earth gets the worse she gets." Ochako chewed on her bottom lip as she approached. Gaia leaned against him, an occasional cough escaping her as she attempted to catch her breath. "Gaia, what happened?"
"Someone set the amazon on fire again. I'm struggling to breath Izuku." He nodded, continuing to rub Gaia's back in an effort to comfort the girl. Ochako blinked. Gaia coughed again, some ash being coughed up. He helped Gaia to the floor and she leaned against him, her chest heaving. "Ochako, we have an offer for you."
"An offer?"
"Yes, an offer. You don't have to accept. Do you remember the musfaratu incident?" Ochako nodded. "That was the awakening of a second generation of Titans, colossal creatures that are destruction and rebirth personified. They heal the earth with their very presence in an area, and their passage clears the way for new life to grow." He hesitated slightly, unsure how Ochako would respond to his next sentence. Ochako kneeled infront of him, grabbing his free hand in hers. "Whatever you want to say, you can say it Izu. It wont change anything between us." He sighed, then pulled Ochako closer to hug her with one arm. "That Titan was me, the king of the Titans." Her eyes widened. "You were the Titan that rampaged through musfaratu, destroyed the chemical plant and injured several pro heroes, all in the span of an hour?" She asked, her voice having a fair amount of surprise and fear. She didn't try to move away from him though. "Yes. I must admit, I found being big and the power that came from it very fun. Although to be honest, there would have been less damage if I hadn't been forced to fight mount lady in the city. Seriously, there was a perfectly good plain she could have fought me on, and she fights me in the city." Ochako snorted.
"Yeah, they said that on the news. So what is this offer?"
"We are offering to make you into a Titan, to help heal the world before Humanity dooms it. I asked Gaia how long she had left, and she said somewhere between 5 years and a century. That prospect will have increased slightly, but I am just a single Titan, I can't heal the earth on my own."
"What about the serpent Titan?"
"The serpent Titan is actually a Kaiju, an animal mutated by the prescence of a Titan. While Serpenterra is healing the world as well, it isn't as profound an effect as mine is."
"Oh." They where silent for a moment. He could see the wheels in her head turning, considering his offer. He saw her eyes flick over to Gaia, who was breathing fairly heavily. "I...I don't know." Ochako spoke up. Gaia looked over to Ochako and grabbed one of the girl's hands before placing it over her heart. "Do you feel that? My heart beat I mean. The planet is dying, and I'm scared. I don't want to die, and I don't wish for humanity to die either. If you reject this offer then it's fine, but would you feel right? Knowing you could have done something to help? This is a decision you can't make when thinking about it in terms of heroes and villians. A candidate for a Titan does not come around often, so please think hard about your decision." Ochako went silent again at Gaia's words, examining the earth spirit with a critical eye. "Alright I accept. Do I need to do anything o-" Ochako collapsed into him, completely unconcious, then faded away. "Did it look like that when you turned me into Emerallis?" He asked Gaia. "Yeah." Gaia stated, a slight wheeze escaping her. "Find somewhere suitable for her to change undisturbed, the changes take about a week so it will need to be somewhere no one goes. The factory should be fine. Then go sought out the situation in the Amazon."
"Alright, are you going to be okay?"
"She will be, she has me and Goji for company." He turned to see the form of a giant moth swooping down from above. "Good morning mosura, have a nice nap?"
"It was a lovely nap Goji. Now I do believe Izuku has things to do." He chuckled, something told him things had just gotten interesting. He left the grove and opened his eyes to see Ochako leaning against him. He picked her up and carried her further in, then turned into his Titan form to dig a divot to put her in. He noticed that she had slight atomic glow emanating from inside her, enabling him to see her skeleton and organs. He shifted back into human form before picking her up and placing her inside the divot. A strange liquid started to surround the girl in a sack, lifting her slightly of the ground before hardening. He could see Ochako's form through the shell of the coccoon. He would come back once he had dealt with the Amazon situation. He made his way to a secluded area where he could turn back into a Titan before launching into the sky. The flight didn't take very long, his massive wings pushing him forwards at speeds most birds would struggle to reach, let alone keep for the entire length of the pacific. He saw the smoke rising from the ashes of the fire, fire fighting crews were already on station to try and prevent it from spreading. He let out a roar at the burning trees, the sheer pressure putting some of the fire out. The gusts of wind that his wings created crushed burning trees, preventing the fire from reaching across the canopy. He could see fire fighters digging a fire break a little ways ahead of the flames, and he decided to give them a hand. He flew in along the trench they had dug, dragging his tail through the trench and deepening it as he glided around the burning forest. Once the trench was big enough he sent an apology to Gaia before setting the trees inside the firebreak alight. The fire fighters didn't try to stop the flames, likely because they realised what he was doing. He stayed in the air as the forest burnt, the fire fighters ensuring that the fires where put out. A small bit of green caught his eye amongst the scorched earth, a plant was sprouting up now that the fire was gone. A rumble from the sky sounded before it rained, the burnt soil benifitting from the storm. Once the area was sufficiently saturated with his radiation he flew off, flying over the forest canopy. "Izuku, there's a village coming up on your left that worships the Titans, perhaps one of their gods should pay them a visit? The fact that theres a species of moth descended from mosura's original species in the region helps too."
"Let me guess, you want me to find one of these moths so that you can remake Mosura."
"Yes." Was all Gaia responded with. He chuckled then swooped over the Village. Gaia helpfully translated what they where yelling exuberantly. Cries of "The gods have returned" and "the earth goddess has heard our prayers!" He dialed his Radiation to a minimum before landing in the clearing, making sure not to crush any huts. The villiagers brought offerings to him, several animals and flowers, and started celebrating. He was very amused, as the village started up a dance that very clearly was meant to celebrate the Titans. The dancers wore masks that represented various Titans, Goji and Mosura being the only two he recognised. A child came up to him and presented their hands to him. He leaned down to see what the child wanted to show him, only for the child to open their hands and a bunch of moths to fly out. Gaia's sickly pale hand clasped one of the moths. He blinked as the villagers bowed to her, cries of "graceful earth goddess, you bless us with your presence" echoing throughout the villiage. Gaia giggled, leaning back against his scaled leg. "Well, your all about to bear witness to the resurrection of Mosura." A blue glow emanated from Gaia's hand, before she released a now glowing moth. The moth flew a little ways away before making a coccoon. Gaia smiled gently at the awed expressions of the villagers. "Now, I believe you should be getting back to your queen Emerallis." He snorted in amusement as Gaia's form disintegrated into lightly glowing blue particles, as if she was never there. He took off and angled himself towards Japan. He listened as Mosura and Gaia debated on what to call the new Titan, before they eventually decided to just call it mothra, Mosura's old nickname. Goji was grumbling about Mothra being revived before him, but they all collectively ignored him. He set down, transformed into human form then made his way to the factory. Once there he spotted the coccoon immediately, it's soft blue glow illuminating the area. It had grown too, being almost double the size it had been when he left. He could see Ochako's form inside it, now with wings and a tail. He couldn't make out any details, just the silhouette of the girl. He pressed a hand against the cocoon and Ochako shifted to be closer to him. He turned back into Titan form and curled up around the coccoon. He would stay here until Gaia needed him to destroy something or Ochako came out from the coccoon, whichever came first.
