It was on the ceremony of my magic university. I was excited. I mean everyone was. It the first day of my second year of university. My name is onyx tarqin. I am in aquaritus house. Our uniform is the same but shirt is blue. Carter house has green and phionex has red shirt. I was kinda nervous too. Not because of school but because of the match between phionex and aquaritus houses. Every year they chose random houses for match.
"This time we have our batches to be given to the winner. Lets see who can win the silver batch. Only one can win this at all! So let's do our best, shall we?!!!"
As it seems.... I am after the silver one.
As I walk through the door, there were people cheering. And my opponent was....
"this time we have onyx from our aquaritus house and our last year camp..... Austin corves. This is going to be very exciting. Onyx never participated in any competition, well-known for being a magic top student. Lets cheer them up students!"
It was a girl from aquaritus speaking on mic,named Lia rose. Also my best friend.
" you should not have dreamed about having silver.... Because that's mine. "
Austin tried to cool it off. He is very popular because of how he looks. He has blonde hair with brown or orenge eyes. I never actually payed attention to my surroundings.
"you talk so highly of yourself."
I said. Anoyed.

He said and smirked.

"It's Okey onyx. At least you got the gold one and that's a very high achievement."
Will said.
"No! I wanted that silver for too long and that basterd just got it."
"Onyx.. "
"Ah-.. Sorry. I got carried away....I'll try harder next year."
I said looking at him. He smiled.
"That's the onyx I know. Now shall we go to have lunch. "
"Sure, man..."
I looked at my phone as we start walking. My phone buzzed.
"Oh, wait a sec my mom texted me."
"Oh what is she saying."
"She said.. 'Onyx I heard from Lia that you couldn't get the batch you wanted. That's sad, so mommy has the exact thing to cheer you up. So you better come home for lunch.' "
"I guess you can go."
"Huh, I mean-"
"It Okey man, besides I have to go help Lia to clean the mess of decorations."
We smiled at each other.
"Okey then, see you tonight at the dorms. "
Then I walked away.

"MOM, I'm home~
I said as I entered the house.
" Big brother is home."
My sister lily came to hug me.
" Welcome home honey, you can sit on the table I'll set the lunch"
" Sure mom"
" Big brother, it took you forever to come home. Did you had fun? do you have any friends?"
"Kiddo don't get too excited he just came let him take a good rest first."
Mom said while putting the plates down.

After having lunch and we were just talking.
"Okey lily it's time for you to study."
"But mom-"
"Hun, you go to your room and study hard 'key."
" Fine mom."
Lily walks out of the room and to her room right next to mine.
"So mom, what is it you wanted to talk to me about."
"That... I know that these magic things will make you happy but at least do something for your life out of magic too. "
"Mom, just..get to the point." I said with a tired tune.
Mom let out a sigh and look at me.
"Well,so I prepared a proposal for you."
"A.. Proposal?" I said questionly.
