(Don't play song in the media until I tell you!)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I sat in Olive's dorm, strumming my guitar and humming to myself. I almost missed the days that I recorded myself singing and playing guitar and posted it on YouTube for hundreds of thousands of people to see.
Like I said, almost.
Ever since Hunter died, I've never been able to shake it off nor really tell anyone what was really going on. I mean, it's harder to just spill your heart out to someone that you haven't really known for too long about the death of your best friend than you think.I sighed, putting my guitar down next to me. Chasseur rubber himself against my arm.
"Hey cat." I grumbled. Tess and Olive loved him so much for some odd reason. To me, he was just really annoying.
He mewed at me, his eyes seeming to tell me something.
"Tell Olive and the photo club. Tell them." They seemed to nag. "It's time."
I sighed once more, picking up the guitar and began strumming it. I ignored Chasseur and just played a random tune."Hey Nate!"
Olive's excited voice startled me out of my jam session.
"What's up?" Tess asked.
"Nothing." I said, shrugging and putting the guitar to the side. "What about you guys?"
"Nothing much really." Olive said. "Just some boring stuff. Anyway, there's a photo club meeting and we came to get you."
"Okay." I said, reaching over to pet Chasseur on the head.
"Oh my gosh!" Tess said, putting one hand over her mouth. "Olive, look!"
"Nate's actually petting him!" She said, putting one hand over her heart.
"Yeah." I said, rolling my eyes. "Whatever."
"This isn't just "whatever."" Tess insisted. "This is awesome. And I thought you hated him."
"Hey!" I said, standing up and crossing my arms in defense. "I pet him one time! That doesn't mean that I like the guy."
"Whatever." Olive said, shaking her head. "Anyway, let's go now."
"I'll catch up with you guys in a bit." I said. "I want to play my guitar a bit longer and immerse myself in my thoughts."
"You always want to do that." Tess protested.
"Stop!" Olive said to her. She looked at me and said, "Well, don't be too long. You wouldn't want to be late."
"I won't be that long." I said. "I promise."
"Okay." Tess said reluctantly. She left after that.Once I was alone once more, I grabbed my guitar and started playing. I looked up to the ceiling and began to sing.
(Play song in the media now!)"Always...."
"You will be part of me...."
"And I will forever feel your strength..."
"When I need it most..."
"You're gone now..."
"Gone but not forgotten..."
"I can't say this to your face..."
"But I know you hear..."
"I'll see you again..."
"You never really left..."
"I feel you walk beside me..."
"I know I'll see you again..."
"When I'm lost..."
"When I'm missing you like crazy..."
"I tell myself I'm so blessed..."
"To have had you in my life..."
"My life..."
"I'll see you again..."
"You never really left..."
"I feel you walk beside me..."
"I know I'll see you again..."
"When I had the time to tell you..."
"Never thought I'd live to see the day..."
"When the words I should have said would come to haunt me..."
