Sky
"Let's commence Mission Love Atmosphere." Rain said enthusiastically.
Sky sighed, "Are you sure that is the name we are going with? Sounds a little cheesy to me."
Rain sulked until Ple came to his defense, "I think it's a cute name."
"I agree," said P'Kiat
"Three to one, so there," Rain said, sticking his tongue out at Sky.
"As if P'Kiat wouldn't agree with everything Ple said." Sky countered
"True," said P'Kiat giving a sheepish smile.
Rain, Ple and Sky had been playing matchmaker for Sig and P'Som for over two months. They had some success with a few group dates and P'Som had been running their study group every other week but nothing had developed beyond that. Now the group, joined by Ple's boyfriend P'Kiat, was having an impromptu matchmaking meeting.
"Okay does anyone have any ideas of what steps we should take now?" Rain opened his mouth to say something and Sky interrupted him, "no we are not going to "accidentally" lock them in a room overnight."
"It works in the dramas." Rain pouted.
"Any other ideas?" Sky said choosing to ignore that.
"What if P'Som were jealous of Sig's secret admirer?" Ple asked.
"Sig has a secret admirer?" Rain asked, wide eyed.
"Not yet," Ple said with a mischievous smile.
Sky nodded, it could work.
Rain
Rain, Ple, Sky, Sig and Por were nearing the end of their first year in the Architecture facility. It was very easy to get overwhelmed with all the projects, assignments, and studying. That's the reason why the weekly study group, although started with an ulterior motive, had become an invaluable resource. Besides normal studying, they could discuss group projects, upcoming assignments, and bounce ideas off of each other for their final projects.
Having it led by their seniors also gave them a chance to get anything they didn't understand answered more clearly. P'Phayu and P'Som alternated weeks so that neither had to take too much time away from their own studies.
Luckily this was P'Som's week. So they could put their plan in action. He was currently looking over Ple's work while the other four discussed their upcoming group projects.
Rain jumped as Sky nudged his leg under the table, oh that was his signal. "So, Sig," Rain said in his loudest just being nosy voice, "who sent you those really beautiful roses to class today? What aren't you telling us?"
P'Som stopped in the middle of showing Ple where the windows should go on her design. "Someone sent you roses, Sig?"
Bingo, Rain thought and nodded, "A whole big bouquet."
"I don't know," Sig said thoughtfully, "The card wasn't signed."
"Oh you must have a secret admirer, how exciting." Ple said.
"I guess," Sig frowned, "Someone sent me chocolate yesterday , and a stuffed bear the day before."
"Wow," Sky said looking at Rain, "That's quite a lot."
"Someone must really like you." Rain said grinning, "I wonder who it could be."
"Back to work everyone," P'Som said irritably and Rain couldn't help but smirk a little.
When they wrapped up for the night P'Som asked Sig to stay behind.
Som
It wasn't love at first sight, it wasn't even like at first sight, to be honest. Som was a serious person with a quick temper and Sig hardly ever took anything seriously. Som had mostly found him extremely irritating to begin with.
The thing was that Sig had grown on him over time, "like a fungus," Som murmured to himself.
For the past two months Som had known that he wanted to ask Sig out, but he'd been busy with school work. He was in his third year after all. Or maybe that had just been an excuse because he was scared.
Hearing that someone was sending Sig gifts though, it made him worry he'd waited too long.
Now Sig looked at him expectantly. Dammit why was this so hard to say. He took a deep breath, "Would you like to have dinner with me?"
Sig's mouth dropped open.
"If you don't want to it's fine...."
"Yes, I would." Sig said at the same time.
"I completely understand." Som finished then "Oh. You would?"
Sig nodded.
"Did you have a day in mind?" Sig asked.
Honestly he didn't, Som had never expected him to say yes. "Tomorrow night?" He asked uncertainty. Tomorrow was Friday.
"Sure," Sig said, then because it was Sig he added in a high pitched voice, "our first date." This left Som sputtering in embarrassment.
Sig
Finally, Sig thought. He's been waiting for the last two months to see if P'Som would pick up on his friends matchmaking efforts. He'd seemed so oblivious though. Sig hadn't been sure until tonight if P'Som liked him at all. They had seemed to have fun on the group dates but P'Som hadn't made any advances. It wasn't until Rain brought up his "secret admirer" and P'Som had seemed as if he could be jealous that Sig thought he might.
That reminds him, he'll have to thank Rain for the roses later, and the chocolate, and the bear. It was adorable how those three thought they were getting away with something.
Still, it had worked so he couldn't really complain.
Sky
"So mission love atmosphere," Sky rolled his eyes at the name. "Updates. Ple?"
Ple giggled, "P'Som took Sig out last Friday, then again Sunday. I think they are going out again after finals next week."
"Rain?"
"Por said that he heard Sig tell P'Som he has already picked out the names of their first 5 children." Rain, Ple, and P'Kiat all laughed and even Sky snorted. Life with Sig would never be boring for sure.
"So I believe we can call this one mission successful?" They all agreed.
"So can we retire as matchmakers?" Ple asked. "It's really very exhausting."
"Well P'Pai said that his mother wants to hire us to find matches for Plerng and Phan." Sky laughed while the other three groaned.
Rain
Phayu was going through the household bills when he came across one that made him frown in confusion, "Rain, sweet boy, who did you send roses, chocolates, and a teddy bear to?"
Oh, Rain thought he'd forgotten to let P'Phayu in on the plan. He told him the whole story now ending with the "secret admirer."
P'Phayu laughed, "Remind me not to cross you three devious minxes."

Notes:
So just a little more Sig and Som to get their relationship started in the right direction.
