Emily grew up in a poor family with two older brothers her mom and her alcoholic dad. Her mom and brothers had to do all the work so they can provide money for food and clothing. Since Emily was too young to work she had to stay home with her drunken dad, who would sometimes beat her and make her do things around the house as he slept.
One day for her birthday her mom and brothers gathered enough money to buy her a Nintendo GameCube and a game. She loved playing the game, she loved the aesthetic and customizations she can do with her character. She would often Roleplay outside with the longest stick she could find pretending it was a sword. But one day, one of the kids from the neighborhood was riding his bike past her house and Emily, being lost in her own world and delusions, ran up to the kid and struck him on his head over and over until her dad came out and dragged her into the house.
Her mother was concerned so she made an appointment was a psychologist and she was diagnosed with minor schizophrenia, which her mother had too but it wasn't too severe.
Emily's dad was angry at her letting her know how much money they had to spend for the kid's hospital bills. At school, she would receive dirty looks and some of the kids ignored her.
A few weeks went by and it was almost Halloween. She wanted to dress up as her avatar from her favorite video game. At the party at the school her and her friend Curtis were hanging out. A boy named Gideon who was dressed up as a slasher from a horror movie confronted them and began to pick on both of them mostly towards Emily.
When Emily told him to leave her and Curtis alone Gideon grabbed her by the wrist and pulled her out of the crowd and out of the school. Curtis ran after them in an attempt to try and help Emily.
Gideon brought her to the back of the school and threw her to the ground. He began beating her up until her blood was visible. But Emily didn't scream or cry, she just laughed. She got up from the ground and tackled Gideon and began smashing his face into the pavement. His cries soon mixing with gurgles and then he was silent. Even after he stopped Emily still kept slamming his face into the ground until Curtis found them and grabbed her and pulled her away from Gideon's bloody body.
Later one of Gideon's friends found him and called an ambulance but it was too late. He was already dead.
Hearing about what happened, her father beat her and at the end he grabbed one of his beer bottles which he thought it was empty and smashed it as hard as he can over her head making her go unconscious with beer and glass shards all over her face.
When she woke up, she found herself in her bed with her head bandaged. She got up and looked in the mirror, her eyes widened in disbelief.
Her once hazel eyes were now a crimson red and there was a bloody slash over her right eye. Her bothers came in and saw her new appearance, knowing that their parents would isolate her due to her behavior and appearance they decided to run away from home.
While sneezing out Emily, Sam and Xander were stopped by their dad and he grabbed Sam by the throat. Emily and Xander didn't know what to do, but Emily managed to find a crowbar and hit her dad on his head. He let Sam go and fell to the ground and Emily began hitting him over and over again while she was laughing psychotically and his blood splattered all over her as her brothers watched in shock.
While she was beating their dad to a bloody pulp a gunshot was heard and Emily saw that Xander was on the ground with a gunshot wound to his upper right thigh, she looked over to see her mom holding a gun and shaking realizing what she has done.
In a blind rage Emily stormed towards her and began doing the same thing she did to her dad. After her mom was dead she looked around only to see that Sam and Xander weren't there anymore. They had fled the scene. Emily left the house into the night leaving her parents corpses inside.
Now, she kills people in order to find her bothers to see if they are alive and safe.
