Flashback*

The fifth grader Shinwon was at the playground, sitting at the end of the slide with his small notepad and pencil, he was once again writing new poems and he always go for the playground because he finds beautiful subjects to start his poems.

He just recently found out that he likes writing poems, and ever since then, he have been writing one ever since and then, and today he was writing a poem for a very special girl, and even thought of giving it to her, but he wasn't that confident.

"Shinwon!" He was called by his best friend, Donghyun, who came sprinting to him. And Shinwon immediately closed his notepad then frantically turned to him. "We should play with them!"

He pointed at their classmates, who were playing a game of catch, and she was there, making Shinwon inhale nervously.

"No, you can go ahead." Shinwon rejected, making Donghyun pout at his friend.

"But why? You always sit here and write things every playtime, but you never really play." He complained and suddenly a mischievous idea popped in his head. He immediately snatch the notepad from the offguard Shinwon then started running away.

"Hey! Give me that." He was chasing after him, but Donghyun was way too fast and started reading some of the pages, and that made Shinwon even more determine and fasten his pace, and that results Shinwon bumping on Donghyun, the notepad swiftly left his grip then landed on the ground, where the pages were turned at the secret poem.

Shinwon froze, his eyes widen and his cheeks tinted a red hue, as he watch Donghyun staring down silently.

"Wow, you like Minjung!" He exclaimed, making Shinwon cover his mouth immediately, then glance at their direction to see her smiling and still playing, luckily they didn't hear it, or else his little secret would be blown away.

Donghyun removed Shinwon's hands then talk in a hush tune, "You really like her? Why didn't you tell me?"

"Because I-"

"Hey Shinwon!" And yet here he was, being called by the girl he likes, and he felt like exploding. He slowly turn to her, and she was smiling ear-to-ear, at him. And she started walking closer, which makes Shinwon stop breathing and wanted to run away, but his feet were frozen.

"Can you give me the ball?" She asked. Shinwon immediately understood then went looking for it, which was besides the slide.

He marched to get it, then give it to her calmly, well atleast he tried to.

"Thanks, you're really a good friend." She smiled as she received the ball.

And that was their first ever interaction, and the way how she talked to him— being nice and kind and even consider him as her friend already, Shinwon knew he would be falling harder for her. She was beautiful, like the stars who is always shining whenever she goes.

Seeing Shinwon distracted by his thoughts is almost a usual thing now. He wasn't feeling good today either, specifically when Donghyun came. He doesn't feel like himself at all, and Minji thought the same, he wasn't the same person that she knew at all, and maybe Donghyun thought that too.
