A/N
[ Reader is a Kitsune! Which is if you don't know from chinese folklore, they harbor abilities from foxes and spirits alike. I would just look it up before reading :) ]Y/n shuffled through the green, 4 bags full wrapped around her fingers. She skipped towards her cottage, following the wet rocks placed on the grass. She hums, before speaking up. "Are we playing hide and seek?" Y/n turns, as a man erupts from the nearby lake, downed in water. Her eyes could dry him off the way she looked at him. He pushes his hair out of his face, "Time and time again, I forget I have a little fox." Namor approaches her, looking down to the bags. "What are these?" She drops the bags before adjusting the wet hair across his forehead. Namor loved their touch, all the way down to her nervendings. He believed there was a spark every time they touched, but Y/n would always laugh the myth away. He smiles lightly, letting the girl finish her job. All before she slides it all down in his eyes. "Aw, now you can't see."
Y/n picks the bags back up, walking away as sly as her ancestors. "What was that? How can I rule without my sight?" Namor chases after them, swiping his hair out of his eyes. His arms wrap around her waist, easily recognizable by the temperature. For a man of the sea, who lived in the coldest- darkest part of the world- he was warm, out of this world warm. Now Y/n loved this about the man, who didn't love a walking heater? Though the sea's depths couldn't affect her, she still enjoyed the warmth he provided. "Tch, a queen holding her own baggage?Absurd." His hand picks up the bags in one swoop, inching the both of them to her temple. It was similar to his, but the architecture was much more built. It could sustain rain, and the nature overcoming it. More importantly it had a door.
Namor had complained about her residency for weeks, why live in a shack when he had an entire kingdom? But this place was special to her. Her favorite mortal had built it for her decades ago, and she had never left- even when they did. He glances into the bags, blankets. Y/n takes off her hat, "I- was running low on something to cuddle with." She said, slyly. He had been busy the last week with Talocan duties. He clicks his tongue, "You sound upset. Shall I make it up to you? Querido oocho'." She turns, leaning on her counter. "What did you have planned?" He laughs, before pinning her to the dresser. Namor grabs their chin lightly, "Have I ever disappointed you?" She shrugs.
"Everyone has a first." She blinked, opening her eyes to show her spell. Namor had a soft spot for her Kitsune eyes. Y/n had a tendency to hide abnormalities in her appearance, her ears, her tails. This was something they had argued about for hours, he wanted her to be proud of who she was. But in the end, she'd find a way to push him off before he got too close. That wouldn't stop him from trying the next day, and the next. Y/n was tricky, as she was sorrowed. She had never told the god, but he could tell something was wearing her down. And he was determined to find out what.
He leaned in, earning the same passion back. Namor's arms found their way around her waist, until they finally broke. She leans on his form, "you're warm." He blushed lightly, the only thing holding the fox up was his stance, but he held her tighter to make sure she didn't slip. This was not the first time she had mentioned his temperature, but he found it odd. She had gotten tons of blankets, and now this- she was either just cold that day, or something was on the horizon. Something he didn't know about. "What does this month bring- In yakunaj?" Namor asks,"that's a good question." She adds, humming against his chest. He realized he was not going to get anything out of her. She was as sly as her animal counterpart. Namor would have to shake it out of her.
He tightens his grip, scooping her up around his shoulder."Hey-!" Y/n argued, while still trying to absorb his body heat. Though a blush did appear on her cheeks, she had a soft spot for his grip. She found it very comforting, as it was warm. He makes a turn for the pond outside the temple."Hey- no- no-" She began, trying to push herself out of his grip. Namor smirked, it was like a kitten trying to push its way out of its owner's arms. He knew full well he didn't own Y/n but sometimes he had the upper hand, especially in strength. He lifted her down to his chest, holding her against him. "Now, Are you going to tell me the truth, Oocho' jats'uts? Or will I have to get it out of you?" The pond was freezing this time of year, hence why she wasn't enjoying the water.
