"Honestly, how long does it take to steal some wine on 46th?" Selina complained, turning down the TV's volume. "Maybe I should have gone with her. Or at least one of the pups." Ivy frowned, beginning to sit up to call her girlfriend. Only to have her phone explode in calls, "Jeese." Ivy ignored the comment and quickly answered the call. "Harley- what's wrong?! Is someone following you?" Selina popped up too, hearing the mumbling of the frantic voice behind the line."Pam- put her on speaker-" Ivy was too distracted by whatever Harley was spitting into the phone. Her hand lightly covered her lips, "We'll- be there- just stay there okay?!" Ivy threw the blanket off her. Just as she hung up the phone Selina opened her mouth."Harley found C/n in some alley- something's wrong. On 47th."

"Maybe Batman's on patrol- His car will get there faster." Ivy glared, before sighing. She was right."If he lands a hand on either of them-" Selina grabs her phone, "Then He'll have both of us to handle." As Ivy formed a vine through the window to get there, Selina followed with a phone to her ear."They better be okay."

Harley turned to the sound of a closed door, covering the shaking teen under her further. The shadow hound began to growl in defense, until seeing the bat's figure. Though Harley didn't stop her own growls, "What do you want, Bats?! You're crazy if you think-" A green form landed behind him. "Ive?" Ivy ran to the two, followed by a cat, who checked with her boyfriend after seeing the scene. "Thanks, Bruce." She finally let out the sigh she was holding, he grabbed her hand. "What can I do to help?" He couldn't help but remember a time like this so many years ago. A kid crying in an alleyway, on a night like this. Bruce tried to shake the memory away, but the cries he heard now were much too similar to his own. It made his fists clench. "We can take them to the cave. I'll try to find a suppressant for their side effects. Alfred is usually great with these things."

Her eyes widened, "what? You want to bring Poison Ivy and Harley Quinn to the Batcave? And C/n?" "And Sully." He turns to the Batmobile. While Selina turns to the sirens, expecting an argument that definitely happened.

But now here they sat, still in their pajamas, in Batman's car- with a teary-eyed nightmare. And a droopy dog who wouldn't leave their side. Though Y/n laid silent, not 100% sure where they were, or where they were going. The whole night felt smudged, the overwhelming shadows of Gotham screamed louder than ever before.

💫

Drool fell down their cheek, Y/n turned over, only to feel it again on their neck. "Sulley-" Just as they opened their eyes, they saw the dog fate in front of them with a goofy smile. Only for them to feel the lick again on their neck, "Shit-!" Again they turn, now face to face with another black dog. They sit up, the most confused they have ever been. That's when they realized they couldn't hear a thing. The initial panic set in, would they ever be able to play guitar again? Hear Sulley's barks or Connor's laugh? They reached for their hearing aid, only to feel an unfamiliar one. It was much more expensive, they could tell. It was lined in something unfamiliar. Something unfamiliar for a hearing aid. Magic. They lightly took it out, studying the piece. Now able to hear the panting of both the puppies.

They rubbed their head, their eyes felt the heaviest they had ever been. They had spent days without sleeping before but now, it was one of the worst times they had ever felt the familiar pain. Maybe even the worst, the same as that day. Y/n tried to shake it off and remember the contents of last night. Only for their eyes to widen when they found them. That oddly familiar dog- was Ace the bat dog. "Sorry, he seemed to slip in, and you had looked so comfortable with the two pups," Alfred said, walking into the guest room with a tray of tea cups.

C/n hated tea. "Don't worry, It's Coke. And some water- I'd like it if you drank it all. Even if you aren't human." he placed the tray on the bed stand. And though Y/n's identity wasn't revealed, the shadows still covered their defining features- they felt so. The two dogs looked at Alfred as he smiled, But C/n's brow rose. C/n was overwhelmed, the night before to now felt clear compared to the situation now. Where they sat, in Batman's hideout. They had seen it before, being a man of the shadows- the Batcave was full of them. They swiped the hair from their face, "Why am I here? I'd rather not ask the crowd screaming in my ear right now." Alfred hums, "Pamela and Harleen found you, Selina had suggested your stay here in the guest room. They were hesitant, but they knew the Batman had a thing for troubled teens." C/n shook their head, "I'm not becoming a Robin- come on, what's the fatality rate on those guys?" They got up, slowing their pace due to the aches in their body. Despite the comment, Alfred frowned at the reaction.
