"Flynn...." I gaped as I saw blood drip down my true love's chest. My foot wrapped around my freshly cut, dead, non-magical hair. It used to be magic, and it used to be the ticket to saving my true love who was dying in my arms. But, he cut it to save me. Little did he know that it was going to kill him.
The cold tile floor of my room in the tower chilled my thoughts. I used to think this was my whole life, this room that is, until I met the love of my life. He was dying in my arms.
"Eugene please don't do this to me." I cried and tears streamed down my face. I wiped them with the back of my hand and gently wrapped it back around Eugene's neck. I saw his chest shudder up and down, each breath getting shorter than the next. I mentally cursed my mother, I mean Gothel, who just shoved a knife though Eugene's chest and pulled it out. She's gone now, but if she were here, I would curse at her to her face.
I hope she goes to Hell.
"P-punzle," Eugene gasped, "I l-love you." His eyes lazily shut, covering his glassy brown eyes.
"No....no no no no.." I shook his cheek. "Please don't leave me. I won't go on without you."
Eugene opened his eyes for the last time. "You are a strong-" he stopped and coughed. He leaned over and blood came out his mouth onto the floor. After he was done coughing his guts out, he looked back and me and sighed. "You are a strong, beautiful girl. You will make it perfectly fine without me. I'm just a thief." He sighed. I could tell he was about to go under and never return.
"I love you Eugene. More than you know. You were more than a thief to me, you were my whole life." A tear escaped my lids and streamed down me cheek. Before I could catch it, the ball of water dripped onto Eugene's cheek. There, the tear faded away. And with the tear, so did Eugene.
