Y/N POV

I opened my eyes, to my small drab room, filled with nothing but dust and dirt. In the background I could hear my dad and his friends talking, it was loud and obnoxious, but I had gotten used to the sound. Sitting up on my bare mattress I brought my stuffed wolf Lulu to my chest hugging her tightly. She was a birthday present from one of my dad's friends the only one I had gotten in my life. She was a bit rough around the edges, but I loved her all the same.

Y/n: Alright Lulu let's see what all the fuss is about today.

I liked to pretend to speak for Lulu, she was my imaginary friend that cuddled me and helped through the bad times. I also liked to think she was her own person, that she had a dark past that formed her personality, she could be a bit mean sometimes but it was all because she was scared. Scared that someone might hurt her again, so like a good friend I made sure that no one would ever hurt her. Standing up I walked to my bedroom door and softly opened it, walking downstairs the sounds of my dad and his coworkers grew louder. Once I jumped down the last few steps, as quietly as I could walked past the living room where my dad would hold his "business" meetings. Unfortunately, fate wasn't on my side today and my dad saw me attempting to sneak past.

Dad: Hey boy don't think I can't see you, what did I tell you about waking up late.

Turning to face him I looked down at my feet, trying to avoid eye contact.

Dad: Me and these fine gentlemen have been waiting for our drinks and I think we've been waiting long enough, wouldn't you?

Y/n: Yes sir.

Dad: Good now go fetch us some beer.

Speed walking to the kitchen, I opened the fridge and scanned the inside for beer, I quickly realized that there were no bottles left. Closing the fridge, I walked back to the living room to confront my dad.

Y/n: There's no more beer left.

Dad: What?

Y/n: I said there's no more beer left.

Dad: Well didn't I teach you how to make a martini?

Y/n: We don't have the ingredients to make any.

Dad: You disgust me get to counting.

Excusing myself I walked to my table in the corner and began to count the money my father had earned.

Dad: So, what were we talking about again?
