{Chapter 63}
Aaron opened the door to the house as Melinda walked in. She took her jacket off as Aaron closed the door and placed the keys on the table next to the door. She hung up her jacket and Aaron walked over to her. He placed a hand on her shoulder, turning her to him, making her look at him curiously. He leaned in and kissed her passionately as she placed her hands on his neck as pulled her close. She leaned back as she looked at him with curiosity.
"Where did that come from?" Melinda asked
"I just missed you." Aaron whispers
She smiled as he leaned his head against hers, bringing his hands down to her stomach. He felt her belly as she looked at his face for any expressions. He smiled and kissed her passionately again, walking her back towards the door. Her back hit the door making her gasp as he looked into her eyes and ran his thumb over her swollen lips.
"What's gotten into you?" Melinda asked
He didn't respond as he continued to kiss her before kissing down her neck. Then he picked her up, making her squeal and giggle as he carried her up the stairs to their room.
Novice Agent
The team arrived to South Carolina for a case and was met by the Chief of Police James. He walked over and shook Aaron's hand as nodded at everyone in greeting.
"Nice to meet you all. Welcome!" James greeted
A woman walked over with a smile when she saw the team, most importantly, Aaron. She gave him a smile and a flirty wave, wiggling her fingers at him. Melinda noticed the woman and wrapped her arm around Aaron's arm as a protective gesture. The woman glared at Melinda for ruining her chances with the man.
"This is Detective Inspector Jennie Smith." James introduced
"Enchanťee." Jennie greeted in French
"Māmā méi bìyào jídù" Daisy muttered to her mother
Melinda glared at Jennie as she knew what her intentions were going to be. Aaron noticed his girlfriend's expression and placed a hand over hers that was on his arm. Jennie saw the movement and continued to glare at Melinda.
"Wǒ bù jídù, wǒ yǒu lǐngdì yìshí" Melinda tells her
"Can you guys please not speak in another language? Nobody can understand you." Jennie retorts
"You'll get used to it." Derek explained
Daisy slapped his arm making him hiss and grab his arm. Aaron looked at Melinda and noticed the expression harden as Jennie and her glared at each other. He leaned towards Melinda's ear as he whispered to her.
