(You are Taro, but you are new to Akademi.)

It was my first day at Akademi High. As I stepped closer to the gate, I pondered about what my school year would be like. Would I end up being the kind of guy who eats in the restroom for lunch, or would I be popular?
While sauntering through the hallways, daydreaming, I slammed into a girl. When she tripped, I didn't quite comprehend what to do. Should I help her, or should I just keep strolling along like the rest of the crowd? I recognized what a foolish idea it would be to just abandon her there, so I went to help her get up. As I went to grab her hand, she looked up at me. We maintained eye contact for a few seconds until the bell rang. As I ran off to get to my classroom, I looked back at the girl and smiled. She gave me a smile in return. "I wonder what her name is," I thought.

I stepped into my classroom, 3-2. As I sat down, I couldn't help but think about the girl I met earlier. Could I already have found my true love? Perhaps I should get to know her first. Who knows, maybe she could be a serial killer or something.

I decided to slip a note into her locker after class.

Meet me at the fountain during lunch?

"Hopefully she reads it," I thought.

When lunch began, I walked over to the fountain, waiting for the girl. "Please don't back out on me.." I murmured to myself, getting impatient.
Just then, I saw the girl walking towards me.

"Hey, I wanted to get to know you better, so I put the note in your locker," I spoke, stating my intentions to the girl.

"Oh, that's why you wanted me here?" She said, "Alright then!"

"So, what's your name?" I asked her.

"Ayano. You?" Ayano answered.

"Cool name, I'm Taro," I said, trying to keep myself from saying something absurd that would ruin Ayano's perspective of me.

The bell rang. We barely had any time to talk, but that's okay. I'll see her next time anyway.

I waved goodbye to Ayano, and she waved back. "Maybe this year will be a good year," I thought.

I headed back to my class, forgetting about the bento my mother had prepared for me to eat at lunch. Oh well, she never makes bento taste good anyway.

Before I knew it, it was already dismissal time. When I got home, I didn't tell my mother about my discussion with Ayano because I know she would freak out about me speaking to a girl.
I couldn't stop thinking about Ayano though. My mind was packed with her gorgeous appearance and her sweet voice. I even dreamt of her at night. I think I really did find my true love.

When I woke up, my heart shattered. Everything was a dream. My real first day of school was in 2 weeks. I began to cry. I thought I had found the girl of my dreams. I mean, I guess I did, but not in the way I wanted to.

Wait...

What if I just sleep again?

I can have the life I always wanted... IN MY HEAD!

I was so excited about my realization that it was hard for me to fall asleep. I took 5 melatonin gummies and I finally fell asleep.

2 years later

So... I just woke up.
Turns out I was in a coma.
While I dreamt, Ayano and I fell in love and had a great relationship. But now it's all over.

The.. End.
