I am using prompt seventy-two, "On the twilight of their sixteenth birthday, a shy bookworm escapes their surprise party to find refuge in their favorite library. While walking through the shelves in search of a good read, they stumble onto a peculiar book that changes their life."

This is an alternative universe story for Harry Potter.
How am I using the prompt?
The bookworm is Hermione Granger from the Harry Potter series. The book she finds contains a self-portrait painted by Regulus Black.

This story has an alternative universe plot twist surprise I can't go into as that would be spoilers for the story.
