More Than Magic (Hermione x Male reader)

Year 7 - For Now

I was outside Hermions house as I waited for her she planned to obliviate her mother and father as a countermeasure to keep them safe. I had offered to do it myself to make it less painful for her to do but she had insisted so I just waited outside on the street. Once she came out the look on her face said it all I gave her a hug it didn't last long but we didn't have that much time. As we walked down the street we then apparated to the Burrow where we would be staying for a while as we put together our plan for Harry. 

"Hello, Harry!" Hagrid said as we arrived at Harry's. 

"Hi!" I said as I entered the house.

 "You're looking fit," Hagrid said.

"Yeah, he is absolutely gorgeous... Let's say we get him undercover before someone kills him don't you?" Mad eye said as he pushed past us to get in. 

"Kingsley, weren't you looking after the Prime Minister?" Harry said.

"You are more important," Kingsley said.

"Hello Harry. Bill Weasley," Bill said as he shook hands with Harry. 

"Pleasure to meet you," Harry said.

"He wasn't always so handsome Daredevil," Fleur said as he was now with Bill.

"True enough Happened while fighting a werewolf called Greyback I Would like to return the favour one day," Bill said gesturing to his scars.

"You're still beautiful to me, Billy," Fleur said.

"And I still have more than you," I said.

"Just remember, Fleur Bill takes his steak on the raw side now," Lupin said as he came in with Tonks.

"My husband the Joker. By the way, Wait till you hear the news..." Tonks said as she was cut off. 

"Can't wait no time for cosy catch up. We have to get the hell out of here. Potter, you are underage, which means you've still got the trace on you," Mad eye said.

"What is the trace?" Harry said.

"If you sneezed, the Ministry will know who wiped your nose. The point is that we have to use those modes, of transport which the trace can't detect Brooms, thestrals the like. We'll go in pairs. That way if anything is out there waiting for us, and I reckon there will be, they won't know which Harry Potter is the real one," Mad eye said. 

"The real one?" Harry said confused. 

"I do believe you are fully aware of this particular brew," Mad eye said popping open his flask. 

"No, absolutely not," Harry said. 

"I told you he'd take it well," Hermione said with annoyed sarcasm. 

"No, if you think that I'll let, everyone, risk their lives for me ..." Harry said,

"Never done that before have we?" I said.

"No, no, this is different. Taking that becoming me. No!" Harry said.

"Well none of us really fancy it, mate," Fred said.

"Yes, imagine if something went wrong, and we end up stuck as scrawny specky gits forever," George added.

"Everyone here is of age, Potter. They all agreed to take the risk," Mad eye said. 

"Technically I'd been coerced, Mundungus Fletcher, Mr. Potter, always been a huge admirer," A shot fat man said.

"Nip it, Mundungus. Alright, Granger as discussed," Mad eye said.

"Blimey, Hermione!" Harry said as Hermione ripped out a few hairs as she passed Harry. 

"Put it in there, please. For those of you who haven't taken polyjuice potion before, fair warning. Tastes like goblin piss," Mad eye said handing it to Fred.

"Have enough of that experience do you Mad-eye? Just trying to defuse the tension," Fred said before taking a sip and passing it down the line. 

"Wow! We're identical!" Said the twins after the transformation was complete.  

"Not yet you are not," Mad eye said dumping some clothes for us to change into.  

"Haven't you got something a bit more sporting?" Fred said.

"Yeah I don't really fancy this colour," George said.

"Well fancy this, you are not you so shove it up and strip," Mad eye said.

"Alright, Alright," Mundungus said.

"You too, Potter," Mad eye said. 

"Bill, look away, I'm hideous," Fluer said.

"Knew she was lying about that tattoo," Ron said.

"Told ya," I said 

"Harry, your eyesight really is awful," Hermione said trying on the glasses. 

"Well, we will be pairing off. Everyone will have a protector. Mundungus, stick tight to me. I want to keep an eye on you As for Harry..." Mad eye said. 

"Yes?" We all said. 

"The real Harry. Where the devil are you anyway?" Mad eye said.

"Here," Harry said. 

"You ride with Hagrid," Mad eye said.

"I brought you here 16 years ago when you were no bigger than a bow truckle. Seems only right that I should be the one that takes you away," Hagrid said.

"Yes, this is all very touching. Let's go! Head for the Burrow. We rendezvous with you there," Mad eye said.

I was travelling with Tonks by thestral and I was about to hop on before Hermione called out my name I said here and she ran up and kissed me before leaving with her protector. 

"On the count of three! Hold tight, Harry! One! Two! Three!" Mad said and we took off.

I was expecting some kind of resistance but what greeted us was still surprising, to say the least, the second we passed the cloud line it was a sea of lightning and death eaters. Tonk was swerving on the thestral urging it left and right one of the death eaters was coming up dead ahead and I hit it with a stunning spell. 

"Try and lose them focus on flying I'll deal with any that get too close," I said as I hit another with a spell sending him tumbling into another konking them both out of the air. 

We landed a few hours later as the polyjuice potion was wearing off and I saw Hermione run out and hugged me before kissing me.

"He deserves that. Brilliant he was. I wouldn't be standing here if it weren't for him," Tonks said winking at me as she went inside. 

"We made it, we're safe," I said hugging Hermione.

"For now," Hermione said before we walked in.
