My bed creaks loudly as my body shifts to favor one side. I groan at the unsavory sound and pop an eye open. Two strong arms are wound around my waist, tugging me close to an equally strong body. If I move a muscle, this peace that surrounds me will break, and reality will crash onto my shoulders. Darkness has coated the room, which instantly catches my attention. My lights had been on when I had somehow drifted into sleep. Now, they are off, and I scan the room for a presence. I find none, but I'm confused.
There's light peeking in from outside my tightly sealed door. Akatsuki members are moving back and forth, as they usually do. Nothing out of the ordinary is happening. A deep voice speaks directly into my ear. "You should relax again." Itachi's voice startles me. I blink with surprise.
"I would, but I am awake now." I respond. Itachi chuckles lowly and releases me. What are these strange bubbles in my chest? I sit up slowly and try to rub the sleep from my eyes. It's useless, and I resort to walking into my bathroom. My footsteps are silent as I walk onto the cold tiles, and I splash my face with water. Then I towel it off all traces of water and flip on my lights. "You can stay here, if you want. I'm going to eat." Itachi mutters something I don't hear just as I exit and close my door behind me.
The kitchen is a hive of activity. Although it seems everyone but Itachi and I are crammed into it for food, I manage to snag two apples. "Oi!" Hidan's voice grates past my ears, and I walk past him without a second thought. "Bitch! Come back! Now, dammit!" I continue to ignore him and go somewhere more quiet to eat my breakfast. The second apple is more of a snack, but I'm hungry enough to eat both of my enormous apples.
Hidan, however, believes he can dictate when and what I eat. He takes the apple I am just about to eat and bites into it himself. Irritation floods through my veins, and I can hardly keep myself from strangling him. I'm hungrier than I've ever felt before, and there's no way I'm going to let a pious zealot take my food from me. My fist flies before I know what I've done. His body flies and Kakuzu chooses that moment to turn around with a large knife pointing in Hidan's direction. Hidan's body rams into it at breakneck speed.
A spray of red floods from his mouth, and I feel horrified, although I cannot show it. I bite into my remaining apple. "That hurt, fucker!" Hidan screams, wrenching himself free of Kakuzu's knife. The older man seems very entertained. My temper snaps.
"That's because it's meant to, asshole!" I yell back, my face contorting with fury. I can't tower over the taller silverette, but I can sure as hell scare the living daylights out of him. "Who the fuck told you it's okay to take what I'm about to eat?"
"It's not my fault!" Hidan yells back. "I fucking told you to come back!" My aura darkens considerably.
"Not your fault?" I snarl, stabbing Hidan in the chest with my index finger. "You're the one who took it!" My voice has gained a deadly edge, one I haven't used in quite a while. My palm slaps against his face. "I don't take orders from you!"
"That hurt, bitch!" Hidan yells. My fury finally explodes and shreds the last of my resistance.
"IT'S MEANT TO, YOU DAMN STUPID FUCKER!" I scream at the top of my lungs. Hidan's fist flies toward me, but I block it and flip him over my body so that he slams face first into the tile floor. I'm on the verge of killing the Jashinist. Hidan says nothing for a few seconds, and I frown. Then curses flow from his mouth like a waterfall of hatred. I send him straight into a very irritated Sasori. Sasori shoves him back to me, and I bully him into hitting the floor with my fists.
Hidan moans on the floor. My silence now is deadly. If I had been yelling, it would've been a better sign. "Are you PMSing, bitch?" He asks.
"BAD QUESTION, (UN)!" Akatsuki collectively snarls as I come flying at his recovering form. Lightening sparks all across my skin, and water is all over the kitchen floor. My sparking hand slams onto the wet floor and fries anyone touching it, except for me. A collective groan sounds as I slam my body into Hidan.
