FEAR GAME: SONIC.EXE REBOOTED

Level Ø: Prologue

Ding dong

The doorbell from downstairs had rung, a man at the age of 19 had come downstairs to answer it and soon of course he reached the door and turned it's knob; he paused for a second as he had thought to himself "Wait who was ringing his doorbell at this specific hour?" The 19 year old teenager named Kyle Redwood had checked his phone, the time on his phones lock screen had read 9:12pm it could've been ding dong ditchers just fucking with him like usual, it was usually uncommon but also not too rare to see neighbors in his neighborhood open there doors late at night and yell at pesky teenagers like him while they rung the doorbells or knocked on the doors and then booking it out of there like bats out of hell.

Kyle opened the door and soon was greeted by noone at the door, he looked around for a moment and was about to close the door until he looked down and saw a small package leaned up against the railing of his parents front porch; it was a medium sized Minnelli envelope and soon he without second thought but slight confusion had picked it up and took it inside with him but not long after as he turned around and had seen a tall black humanoid silhouette standing there in a black hooded cloaked robe and soon had turned and walked away.

"Okay?" Kyle told to himself under his own breathe and then proceeded to walk back inside to his parents house and shut the door locking tight and dead bolting it, he went over to his front window and peeked through the blinds that covered the large front window that peered outside the front of his house, and then he turned away going upstairs to his bedroom and sat the package down onto the nearby night stand that sat near the TV.

He grabbed the package and sat down and opened it up to only reveal a game case for a video game.

He looked at it though the small tear in the envelope and the tore it open, he pulled it out it was revealed to be a video game that he was familiar with, he turned over and looked at the back of the case and then looked at the front revealing it to be Sonic The Hedgehog.

"Hmmm." Kyle had thought to himself as he observed the case in front of him. "I haven't heard of this game before."

Kyle looked at it and soon looked over at the PlayStation that sat there powered off at the moment of his choice, and soon of course the idea had came to his head to play the game, obviously Sonic The Hedgehog to Kyle was and still a popular video game icon character to this day and is still well recognized but he never saw or understood the memorabilia behind this character since one he never had heard of him or this specific character before and two.....well he didn't find the character to be all that interesting, now personally that was just his opinion and HIS opinion only and nothing else really.

But for a character he had never heard of before he was willing to give it a shot and play the game for himself to see what the video games god's have bestowed upon him with this video game and character specifically but also at the same time did he really see the point in playing it?

Kyle may have heard of the character and his everlasting game series before but what little he had heard about Sonic The Hedgehog the character specifically is that you play the role of a blue speedy hedgehog named Sonic and you battle numberous enemies and various bosses all the while and soon of course collecting gold rings.

Kyle never really cared about the Sonic character and his games, he honestly preferred Mario over Sonic and his opinion Sonic was just a character to compete along side the likes of Mario and his brother Luigi.

He opened up the game case and pop out the disc and then opened up his PlayStation and placed the disc into the console itself and booted it up and soon the game to life as it played and soon enough the games menu music had played.
