THE GIRL:
THE END, that's what started this. They broke us. They killed us. They conquered us. I remember it.
They were raining down on us. It was as if the sky had broken. Heck broke out when they landed. Once the pods that they had occupied landed they came out, Boltorts, Jiralhanae, Unggoy, Kig-yar, Mgalekgolo, and the worst Sangheili. They're the leaders of us and they love punishment. We never saw them coming we were caught off guard and unprepared.

The military had no chance we were finished. We call them the Invaders, but we say that in the safety of our mind, alone in the dark. They're really called the Giverest. My name is Siyra. I am 18 now but I was 6 six when the Giverest came.

They killed my family and left me with nothing. Everyone who survived they caught us, and they put collars on our necks. They control what we do and hear what we say. They watch us always in our houses, in the mines, factories, and farms.

We aren't safe anywhere. Except one place the rebellion. They're all that's left of the old world. They escaped capture. They hide and sabotage the Giverest. They're our hope. They mean freedom to all who hold them in regard, all who are truly human at the core. They are the future of the human race. They need us to remember them, to join them, and we need them to give us hope in the haze.

THE BOY:
I am now 19 and working in the mines with everyone else in the small section of the town I live in. The rest of the town is spilt up into farming and factories. I was seven when they came to earth. My family died fighting back and now I'm all that's left.

My name is Rye. I have one motive to live. And that's to protect. Protect the innocent. Protect the weak. Protect the old and young, but mostly to protect her.
I've lived near her for almost 8 years now. And she has been tormented for most of her life. Her whole family dying, it had to be hard on her. I was transferred from a big city with to many people.

When I was moved here, there she was. Just staring at me through the threadbare curtains by the window.
She had a brown golden hair color, with olive skin, and bright eyes, a blue so clear they look like a stormy sea up close. Every time I see her from across the grey dusty road my heart pounds.

I have forgotten all about my family in order to protect her. I will never let her get harmed, and if she ever is I will kill who ever laid a finger on her. I will forget myself I will forget who I am for her. Just to be near her my heart skips a beat. I will help her get freedom. No matter what it takes, I will.
