I stared at Carl as he helped Rick, i had an odd feeling in my stomach, it wasn't anything like what i had felt before "looks like someone's got an eye out for a special boy~" Maggie teased causing Carl to turn around to us. i quickly looked away and looked at Maggie, my face burning "shh! Omg do you have to be that loud?" I whisper shouted embarrassed and frustrated as I turned to her, she laughed as Carl looked even more confused. Maggie wrapped her arm over my shoulder "so.. you've got eyes for small grimes?" She whispered "it's just Grimes and is it that obvious?" I asked scared "no no.. a mother always knows" she shook me a bit, carl went back to helping his dad and i relaxed "stop he's gonna know we're talking about him" I whined "oh he already knows.. he's walking over!" She whisper shouted "what?!" I yelled as i turned my head to see him standing still and looking at the crops. i glared at her "liar." I whispered angrily, Maggie laughed again "alright, I gotta go check on Glenn" she got up ruffling up my hair as she did "bye momma" I said as she walked off. I got up and walked over to behind Carl "need any help?" I asked scaring him slightly as he turned around "nope, I uh- actually just finished my chores for the day" he smiled at me "really? That quick?" I looked over his shoulder to see good looking green beans "nice" I smiled back my face getting a little warm "so.. what do you do for fun?" I asked "other than comic books? Uhm.. my chores?" He said almost unsure "you don't play any games? Like tag, infection, hide and seek?" I asked and he shook his head "hand to hand combat training? Or how to use a sword?" I asked "I don't have one" I rolled my eyes "and I have two" I held them up "so.." he said confused "do you or do you not wanna learn how to use a sword?" I asked "fine." He responded with a slight smile.

We went near the building, we kept the swords in their scabbard's (sheaths) so we wouldn't hurt each other that much. I held mine while Carl held the other "alright, got a good hold on it?" I asked "yeah.. I think so" he replied with his hands wobbling slightly "it's kind of heavy" he commented "they shouldn't be, are you holding it wrong?" He looked at me confused "oh shit- forgot you haven't held one" I laughed slightly "it could be deadly for you if you hold it wrong, try like this" I stood behind him. my chest pressed against his back and my arms against his, my hands right over his own. "move slowly.. there you go, and move your hand right there." "that's it." i said lowly, a bit too concentrated on his hand placement as i subtly used my legs to shift his own into the correct position then I held onto his wrist for a second feeling his heartbeat increase 'is he nervous? Is it because I told him it's deadly if he held it wrong? That's just what I was taught, to scare me into holding it right' I shook off the thought "you alright?" i whispered as i looked over and realized i had just whispered into his ear, he looked startled, like he had just been jump scared by a walker. i chuckled and went back to my spot "alright, try swinging it" I said watching him.

I smiled as Carl gave me my sword back, he held a huge smile on his face "thank you" he said looking up from the sword at me, I felt my heart skip a beat "no problem, we could do this anytime" he nodded and walked away. I let out a breath I didn't even know I was holding "everything alright?" I looked over, rick was the one speaking "oh hey Rick, yeah but-" I paused for a moment "can I tell you something?" I asked "sure, go ahead" he replied giving me his full attention "I like your son." I said bluntly "excuse me?" He said taken off guard "I like Carl. Not in the oh he's such a good friend kind of way- which he is! Don't get me wrong you sons a good guy which in my book makes him very hot and I don't think this is a little kiddy school crush kind of thing I mean-" "I know." He cut my ramble off "wait what?" I asked shocked "I know, I see the way you look at my boy.. please stop staring at his ass every time he bends down" my eyes went wide as I saw Daryl smirking in the background "you see that?!" I asked shocked "everyone does and I mean everyone, hell I bet even the walkers know" I felt my soul leave my body 'never looking again.' i thought as Rick laughed "but in all seriousness, you hurt my boy and I'll gut you out." I blinked "sir if you think I'm gonna hurt a boy as special as him, you are horribly mistaken. I will treat him with the utmost respect once I get him.. but for now I will in fact be the utmost son of a bitch best friend to him" I smiled and walked over to Carl proudly until it dawned on me "I didn't mean it like that! I meant it respectfully!" I shouted worriedly, taking my eyes off of Carl just for a moment "what did you say to my dad?" Carl asked scaring me and causing me to scream "nothing. Jeez your like a ghost" I sighed out "sorry.. but what is it your talking to everyone about then tell me 'don't worry about it' or 'it's nothing' it's getting kind of annoying." He said crossing his arms "talking about you..-uur amazing hair, yeah I hate to admit it but how the hell do you keep it so good even after the apocalypse?" I asked quickly catching my mistake. I felt my face get hotter "oh.. you could've just asked sooner" he said rolling his eyes. i let out a sigh of relief. for the rest of the day I spent around my main people, visiting dad although i don't think he knows the news yet, name and Maggie were planing to surprise him when he gets better. me and carl roughhoused a bit, i trained my sword skills a tad and killed a few walkers by the gate. they were still piling up badly.
