My ocean beauty

Chapter 1

      Sun striking down on the clear blue waters, as life in it's depths thrive endlessly unbothered. Peace is in it's grasp above where the land walkers inhabit, growing more day by day.
  But under the clear blue waters in the deeper parts of the sea a struggle has commenced in the kingdom of sirens.
   The young prince boiling inside, locked in his chambers by his unruly family.
  The prince's name, is Syin lakestin, he is the youngest out of three boys, and the most mistreated. His father is the king and is his mother the queen, both being the largest threat to his life.
   As Syin swims around his chambers to find a way to be free, a loud commotion rises in the halls, screams and cries from the castle echo into his room.      
   "What the hell is going on out there?" The prince exclaimed to himself, peaking outside his chambers windows.
   As he looks out onto his home he can see blood shed around the castle, guards falling to the attackers as civilians flea in horror.
   The prince rushes to his bedside pulling a trident from under his shell of a bed, he bashes the glass with the points of his weapon and shatters the glass into shards, barely able to fit through the broken window glass digs into his tail wounding him to draw blood.
   He yells out in agony as he pulls himself out of the gashing torture, as he looks down on the open floor of his home blood slowly rises from below, the closer he looks he sees his family, chained and battered on the ocean floor.
   The enemy was not after the kingdom and it's people, they were after his family, with his brothers and parents now murdered it was only a matter of time before they came after him as well.
   Syin swam as fast as he could to get close to the surface, but was caught by a group of shark fins, these mutated half shark humanoids are ruthless and will tear apart anything they can get their jaws on.
   "Awww is the baby prince trying to escape?.~ We don't like it when our pray tries to get away.~" one of them speaks in a deep raspy tone, sending shivers up Syin's spine.
   He tries to get away but the enemy will not let him go without a fight, they grab his tail chomping down on him with brute force.
   "AGGHH!!." The prince exclaims, he uses his trident to stab into the beast puncturing his lungs.  
   The beast retracts his jaw as his breath is finally snatched away from him, the others look in shock and anger at the sense in front of them.
   The three of them attack the prince as he fights for his life, after what seems like forever the prince swims to the surface free from the beasts who attempted his life.
   Breaking free out of the waters surface gasping for breath, the prince finally has a glimpse of the world above him.
   He lays in the water pain shocking his body as the adrenaline fades, blood seeping out of his wounds into the water.
   The sky is blue, clear as the water, no sound but the waves washing around him, sunlight beats down on his face bringing warmth to his soul, but the light begins to fade, and the sky becomes dark.
   As he slowly fades into the darkness, he gasps one more breath, as his eyes close, and the light finally goes out.
