No one's POV

"I honestly think Tetsuya-kun will win against Ayanokouji-san." Arisu remarked.

This made Professor Ayanokouji look at her with one eyebrow raised. "And what makes you say that ?"

"Well sensei, even though they've both had the exact same training, it's biologically proven that the male body has greater muscle mass as the female body. Moreover, Tetsuya-kun probably inherited excellent genes from his father, who I heard is a genius. My father told me that you were smart but not a genius and Kiyone's mother was a normal woman. So I wouldn't be surprised if Tetsuya-kun defeats your Masterpiece." Arisu said.

What she said was entirely true and Professor Ayanokouji couldn't deny it, but it's not like he cares about that. He doesn't mind having two Masterpieces since they can probably help each other grow.

He looked at Yoshihiro, who simply shrugged. He couldn't deny what she said but he was entirely certain that Kiyone would give him a very hard time. He was not sure if she'd win or lose, but he knew for a fact that even if Akihiko came out on top, it won't be without difficulty.

"That does not matter to me. Whether she wins or loses against Akihiko makes no difference to me. As of right now, they are both Masterpieces." Atsuomi retorted, not once bothering to look at Arisu.

Of course, there was one thing that Yoshihiro didn't tell Atsuomi about and it was the perfect understanding of the human heart that Akihiko had mastered. In fact, he hadn't told this to anyone but his son was by far the most fearsome foe anyone could ever hope to face because he could easily destroy a person and break them down by himself. And all he needs is a few words to do it.

"Sakayanagi Arisu. Would you like to play a few games of chess with me while the adults talk about their business ?" Akihiko offered and Arisu smiled at him.

"Gladly. Father, can you take me to the chess tables ?" She looked at the chairman and asked.

"No need. I'll take her." Akihiko said, surprising them.

"Fufu, how bold of you, Tetsuya-kun." Arisu teased him but Akihiko stared at her without any reaction.

"Do you want to play or not ?"

Arisu sighed and nodded. Chairman Sakayanagi handed her over to Akihiko, who carried her princess style and began to walk towards the chess room. He didn't notice the light tint of red on Arisu's face while doing this.

The adults stared at the seen with mixed reactions. The chairman didn't know what to feel but he trusted Akihiko and Yoshihiro just laughed. "Barely nine years old and already a ladies man. As expected of a masterpiece."

Meanwhile, Akihiko gently places Arisu onto a chair and drags a chair for himself before sitting on it and arranging all the pieces.

"I apologise for making you do all of this for a pitiful maiden." Arisu said with a bitter smile.

"Don't be sorry. You are disabled and henceforth, cannot do the things I can. But you are still very elegant and smart." Akihiko said without any changes in his tone of speaking.

Arisu slightly giggled at his words. "What a way with words. You might make me fall for you."

"I don't mind, nor do I care. You won't beat me regardless." Arisu was caught of by his response and even went slightly red when he said he didn't mind her falling for him.

She coughed and quickly regained her composure. "Well, shall we ?"

"Your move." Akihiko looked at Arisu with his hands closed and Arisu smiled.
