👩‍👧Mother's Day Special👩‍👧

Before we get into the celebration of mother's, I must give credit to the amazing artist that is Trevoshere for the art above, all whilst informing you that I am aware that it might not be said day for you, but it is for me. Either way, mother's should be celebrated everyday, so I hope you enjoy and Happy Mother's Day, or Happy Day! Whichever it is for you.

Y/Ns P.O.V

I closed the door behind me and scanned the room to find Shota carrying Eri, her crying on his shoulder as he then held his phone to his opposite ear. I rushed over and placed my hand on Eri's back "Oh my! What's happened?" Shota quickly faced me and put his phone into his pocket, then harshly whispering "You weren't here, that's what happened!" I felt my ears flatten against my head. He clicked his tongue and put his focus back on Eri, his tone becoming gentle "Mummy's home now Eri." Eri turned her head to look at me, her sobs quieting down before she hiccuped "Mummy!" I lightly smiled, trying to mask the pain and confusion I felt over Shota's sudden harshness.

"Dad, I wanna go down!" Shota put Eri down and she immediately turned to me and took my hand "Mummy, I made you breakfast!" She lead the way to the dinning room where a plate of eggs and toast were "Sit!" I sat in the chair she had brought me to. She then pushed my legs, so I moved around to be sat facing the table instead of the side where she stood. From the corner of my eye I then saw her move to the back of me so I turned my head to see her trying to push my seat in. I slowly brought the chair forward to make her feel as if she had done it.

She moved around to my side again "Are you comfy?" I nodded smiled "Yes, thank you very much Eri!" She grinned and gave a firm nod before saying "Bone apple! I'll go get your presents!" I smiled and watched her quickly walk away. I turned to look at my plate and grabbed the small spoon to empty the shell of the boiled egg. I placed the egg on to one piece of toast, then chopping it up with the spoon. I began eating when Eri came back with wrapped items of all different sizes and shapes.

She placed them on the table and then got into the chair next to me, watching me with big eyes. I laughed lightly and asked "Do you want me to open them?" She nodded eagerly and I placed my toast down, then reaching for the card that sat on top of the gifts. Upon opening the envelope I took the card out to see a picture of a two penguins, one bigger than the other. 'Happy Mother's Day' printed above them. "Awe, aren't they cute! I can think of a little baby that's cuter though!" Eri looked at me "Who?" I smiled and pressed my finger onto her nose "You!" She giggled and I removed my finger from her nose to then open the card.

"To Mummy, you are the best mummy in the whole world. Happy Mother's Day. Love from Eri! Awe, I love you too Eri, thank you!" She grinned and I reached for the present on top. I carefully unwrapped in and just held the item once I had it open 'Cacao Free Doggy Chocolate' I looked up to Eri and smiled "Thank you Eri, this is very thoughtful!"

"Try some!" I forced a smile, not too sure on how this will taste. I opened it and snapped a square off, then putting it in my mouth. I bit into it "How is it?" I covered my mouth to say "It's good, thank you Eri!"

I went through to mine and Shota's shared room, he was already laid in bed. I grabbed my pillow and then turned for the door "What are you doing?" I just continued on my path "Not being here, that's what I'm doing." I went over to the couch and placed my pillow against the arm rest, then going over to the cupboard we stored extra blankets in. On my journey back to the couch I saw the chocolate Eri had gotten me and picked it up.

Once on the couch I was partially sat due to the arm rest, so I decided to snap another square of the chocolate off and plonk it in my mouth. I hummed and mumbled "They should just rename you happiness!"

"You're actually eating that?" I choked on it and quickly sat up then looking over to see Shota a few steps away from the couch. After I finished choking I hummed "Yes... Eri got me it and it's actually nice... Tastes like chocolate." He hummed and came over, plonking himself next to me "Eri was crying that she wouldn't be able to celebrate you." I looked at him to find that he was just looking forward. He turned his head and asked "Where even were you?" I looked down at my lap and fiddled with the wrapper on the chocolate "I was visiting my mum's grave..." He took my hand and I looked at him "I'm sorry for being so harsh with you... If I had known..." I shook my head and moved my hand out of his "You saw that I wasn't here and there could be numerous reasons for that but you jumped to the one that was me hurting Eri!" He shook his head quickly and turned his body, but didn't attempt to reach out.

"Y/n, how I responded to you was wrong, but I didn't respond to you in such a way for a reason of that sort... No matter what I said to her, she wouldn't calm down because she wanted you! I was frustrated because there was nothing I could do, and then you weren't taking any of my calls so I feared the worst... What made the fear worst was the fact I knew you wouldn't leave Eri, so the only reasoning could have been hero work... I can't lose you Y/n, I'm so sorry for being such an idiot!"

I carefully placed my hands on either of his cheeks "Oh Sho..." I wrapped my arms around him "I couldn't leave just Eri, I couldn't leave you... I love you Sho!" He wrapped his arms around me "I love you too Y/n." I hummed and after a while I decided to ask "Weren't you able to sleep without me, or why did you choose now to talk to me?"

"As I said, I was being stupid and didn't actually realise what I had done until you made your similar remark... But the bed is also extremely lonely without you." I laughed and said "I suppose we better give the bed some company then!" He hummed and removed one of his arms from around me before slipping it under my knees and then standing with me in his arms, due to the shock I had released him from my hug but once he was completely stood I wrapped my arms around his neck.

"Eri's lucky to have you as her mum." I smiled and nussled my head into his chest "She's lucky to have you as her dad!"
