The night became day as me and my boys landed back home in LA. We had been gone for two days because of us being ghost hunters. The two days we had been gone were very eventful. We got tons of proof that ghosts were real. Jake had goofed off the whole time. I think that's why it wasn't completely scary. I wish we could have brought Katrina along. Sometimes I hated being the only female in this ghost hunting crew. I was always overjoyed when I finally got home. I looked forward to seeing my furbabies and my mother who would babysit them for me. I smiled as I got to the door and already hearing my three dogs barking. I unlocked the door and immediately were bombarded with my babies. "Hey, my little nightmares. Did you have a good time with grandma?" I asked, bending down and petting each one. They all barked some more before settling down. My mom entered the room with the biggest smile on her face. "Finally, you're home. Did you get what you were expecting?" She asked, taking my bag from the spot next to me. I stood back up taking my newest puppy into my arms. "Absolutely, mom. Sam's gonna work on editing the video after he gets some rest. I can't wait for you to see it" I said, excited. She nodded and hugged me. "Good. Rest is important. Now. You. In bed. Now. I'll make you something to eat and bring it up to you when I'm done" she ordered, before walking upstairs with my bags. I walked with the dogs upstairs and followed her into the room. "I've already got interview with a vampire on the TV and your heated blankets turned on. Call me if you need anything" she said, kissing my forehead and walking out. "Hey mom?" I stopped her before she shut the door. "Yes, sweetheart?" She asked, stopping in her place. I smiled back and laid my head on the pillow. "Thanks. You're my best" I said, causing her to walk back in. "Baby, it's my job to care for you. You're my daughter and I'm your mother" she said, before walking out and saying one more statement. "Just don't forget about me when I'm old and feeble" she said, closing the door. "Never" I shouted, before turning my attention to the TV.

Twenty minutes later, my bedroom door opened revealing my mother with a plate of food. "Food is done" she said, walking over to the bed and putting the plate on my lap. "Oh hell yeah! Chicken nuggets!" I said, before clapping like a child. Mom laughed at my childish ways. "I love you" she said, kissing my forehead. "I love you too, ma" I replied, before asking something that had been on my mind for days. "Mom, remember when you told me as a kid that when I reached the age of 18, you would tell me why my father isn't in my life?" I asked, hoping she would understand what I'm getting at. "I already know what your about to ask. How about this? Eat your food, take a good nap and when you get up, we'll talk about it. I was going to tell you something about that anyway" she said, before getting up and closing the door. I nodded and started eating my chicken nuggets.
