Clouds of ash loomed over the city where a giant tower stood in the midst of it all. Planes flew overhead and panicked people hid wherever there was shelter. The tower was the only tall building still standing as if taunting the citizens below. "We can't keep hiding in here like this, it's not right." A man with blonde hair and a muscular build grumbled staring out the windows at the city below. "Steve, what other choice do we have if we go out there unprepared we'll be some heroes." A woman walked over to the window and laid her hand on the man's shoulder. "I agree with Natasha, they're waiting for us down there right now we're sitting ducks until the wave of soldiers finally passes we can't go out yet..." A brown haired man let out a sigh and stared down at the destruction in the city. "We can't go on like this-" a male voice from the corner grumbled with his head in his hands. "Don't talk like that, we can still win this together." Steve Rogers quickly turned to reply. "We're finished, can't you see the city is just a stepping stone, for how long until everyone we care about pays the price for what we failed to do?!" Tony Stark stood up. "Tony- it wasn't your fault we all failed to get the scepter." Another man walked in the room with a frown gracing his features. "It isn't just about the scepter we failed to stop our greatest enemies okay and now look at the city OUR city is being destroyed like its nothing." Tony snapped. "This can't be how we go out it can't-" Steve gritted his teeth and banged his fists on the wall leaving an indent. "With Thor gone there's not much we can do but wait and hope." The brown haired man sighed once more. "Hope for what?" Natasha turned her attention to the brown haired man. "Hope that something changes, it has to for everyone's sake." He replied to her.
