The rays of the sun seep from the tiny opening midst the beige linen curtains, and spill into the room gently sinking into my face, warming my eyelids just enough as a soft, and friendly embrace rather than a sharp and swift jab.

I open my eyes and examine the scrupulously tidy room before me as I prop myself up, disappointed to leave my cozy bed as I am greeted by a sudden gush of cold breeze. Everything was unusually arranged, something about it felt strange though.

My mind ponders back to last night, but there is no recollection of what happened besides from the lingering stench similar to that of rust. My vision blurs out and the last thing I see are the doors opening with a bang, followed by a woman-shaped silhouette frantically rushing towards me, repeatedly yelling my name with concern, as I fall onto the white, lace pillow with a loud thump.
