Elizabeth Adams loved her boyfriend Henry McCord. She loved him so much that she'd do anything for him. She loved how he was so romantic. How he always wrote cute little notes to her. How he'd bring her coffee every morning. And especially how she could talk to him and he'd listen, no matter how long it took.
That's why she had a hard time when he broke up with her. She thought he loved her. Instead, he was just like all of the other guys, or at least, that's what she tried to tell herself. But he was different from all of the rest and she really thought that he was the one.
She didn't understand how he could just throw away everything that thy had. The worst part was that he did it over text. That hurt her the most.
Right now, Elizabeth sat at a bench, staring at the beautiful landscape around her. Henry had shown her this place and it had become the place they went to together. They would talk until the sun came up. It was just somehow easier to say what they wanted and needed to, more than any other place.
Today was also Valentine's Day and Elizabeth just needed a breather from life. She sighed as she thought about what had happened three days prior.
"I just can't do this. I can't do us. I need a break from it all." That was what she had woken up to. She had spent the whole day crying. She didn't leave her room until today...three days later.
She came back to the present as the wind hit her face and she could feel tears start to form in her eyes. She stood from the bench and started yelling.
"I thought you loved me! Just why the hell would you do this to me? Pretend you love me and break my heart? Why?" she asked this to the wind.
Elizabeth turned around when she heard footsteps. "I know what I did was stupid. I just freaked out," It was Henry. He walked towards her, looking as handsome as ever. He held a rose in one hand and the other was holding something in his pocket.
"I wasn't pretending to love you, Elizabeth. I do love you. I love the way your laugh echoes through the room. The way your smile brightens the day. The way you change the world every day. And the way you have loved me even when I don't deserve it. That's why I'm here right now."
Henry smiles and hands Elizabeth the rose. As she takes it, he gets down on one knee and pulls out the thing he was holding onto.
"Elizabeth Adams, will you be my forever?" He opens the box to reveal the most beautiful ring Elizabeth had ever seen. "Oh my gosh, Henry. Yes!" Elizabeth smiles as Henry stands up and puts the ring on her finger. The two share a sweet, passionate kiss.
When they pull away, Elizabeth shakes her head. "You make my life a rollercoaster," she says. "But I bet it's a fun one," Henry replies. "Yeah, yeah. I guess it is," she and Henry both chuckle.
"You're so crazy but again, so am I," Elizabeth says after a minute. "But you're my kind of crazy," Henry says. "And you're mine,"
