"After an unfortunate break up our suspect, {Insert Name}, has been arrested for harassment and assault [Ex's full name] and [Helen Rutherford]."
The Reporter spoke solemnly and straight voiced.
"What sparked such a drastic turn for our suspect?
It was likely related to their Ex, specialists report."
The suspect, who's name is {Something Creative}, is being held in a questioning facility for future reference.
We will visit the facility soon, it's not a pleasant place to be.
"Oop, we've just got new information...it seems that [Ex's Name] and [Helen Rutherford] have just passed away. What this means for our suspect we will soon find out."
The television shuts off and or attention is brought to the center of a dimly lit room with sparse furnishing and little to no color. Two people sit on the opposing sides of a table. One is in a trench coat and a snazzy suit and the other is in a dully colored two piece prison suit. "Ehem"
Ah, apologies, it is not a prison suit but rather serialized institution casual wear, but they are rather similar. *Swack* Ow! Jeez, no need to get violent. *Clears throat* As I was saying, the only other inhabitants being a plastic plant and a two way mirror (plus the occasional ra-*Swack* Sorry..)
"Now then, I've got a few questions for you and I want you to answer honestly."
There's no reply, the trenchcoat man stares pointedly, This is disappointing.
"First question, Why did you kill him?"
No reply.
"Second question, When did you kill him?"
Shouldn't they know this?
"Third question, Where did you kill him?"
*Sigh* No reply.
"Fourth question, How did you kill him?"
Once again no reply, honestly what do they expect.
"Fifth question, Who helped you?"
"No one."
Oooh! That got a reply, now maybe things will step up.
"Ehem, I see."
The sound of a pencil scratching disturbs the silence. Trenchcoat wrote it down, obviously, or did he? Suit man was silent for a bit, waiting for {Insert Name} to continue. They don't, it's a vow of silence.
"Moving on, Where you on any substances when you did it?"
"Why are you assuming I killed him?" Because you did, duh!
"Well evidence suggests you did-"
"What happened to innocent untill proven guilty?"
{Insert Name} replied with a sneer. Obviously this entertains them.
Suit man replies in a exasperated manner.
"Well, Did you kill him?"
The suspect smiles slightly, in a playful manner.
"Maybe I did, Maybe I didn't."
"Would you like a lawyer?"
"No, No thank you."
"Alright, then shall we continue? Will you tell us what happened?"
There was silence for a moment, then the suspect sighed wearily and gave in peacefully.
"Yeah, I'll tell you what happened. It was The day before our anniversary and well he came in abruptly and suddenly told me we were breaking up."
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Your Boyfriend was angry, furious even. You don't know why, his day went well today, how do you know this? Well you followed him around the entire day, you were just worried he might get hurt.
"We're breaking up."
What? Why, was it something you did? Your bewildered expression spoke all.
"I've met another woman and I'm in love with her."
Your expression shifted into a terrifyingly murderous glare as you shouted loudly for all to hear.
"WHAT?!" He flinched, he should have expected this, perhaps he should've been slightly more tactful with the reveal. Then it got silent and it was cold, you spoke in a steady tone, warning him to be cautious of his answer.
"Since when and who is she?" Should he tell you or would it be better to stay quiet.
"We met 8 months ago and I can't tell you who she is, I'm sorry."
"You're sorry? [Ex's Name] All you have to do is tell me who she is, now."
When you said his name you spoke sternly, like a mother scolding a child but then your tone turned threatening and it made him nervous. You weren't exactly a stable person, you were prone to random, but violent, outburst.
Yes, you were receiving therapy, but it didn't seem to be working. Maybe you need a different sort of help?
Reasoning with you would be unreasonable, so time for plan B. Run! Actually he threw something at you and then ran out the door.
"Pfft, sorry, please continue."
An unamused sound escapes from the suspect.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Enraged by heartbreak, you went to see your therapist, after keying [Ex's Name]'s car of course.
Your therapist suggest exercises and blind dates and a support system, said you had abandonment issues and we're far to attached to your ex.
At least you thought she did, you were far too busy plotting revenge and running away from responsibility to pay attention.
"And for the record I was entirely sober and have been fighting against addiction since I was 17."
"Right, whatever you say now will you continue you confession."
----------------------------------------------------------------------
After extensive research and days upon weeks, you had tracked down your Ex's new girlfriend and studied their schedule. It was time to take action
First t caught my ex alone and in a vulnerable moment then I knocked him out, afterwards dragging him to an inconspicuous car and dumping him in the trunk.
Then i , once again, dragged him this time into the basement-
"Wait, you don't have a basement."
"I didn't say it was mine."
Afterwards I cornered his girlfriend, she put up a fight, anyways I eventually got her pinned down and threw in the backseat.
Then I dragged her to the basement, don't worry I separated them.
Eventually they woke up and we had a very stimulating conversation about who's responsible for the kidnapping and a very violent, very one sided confrontation. I killed them.
"And that's all that happened, anyway can I go back to my cell? It's lunch time and we're having pudding."
"What? No! We need the details and they aren't serving pudding today."
"Ugh, but I'm hungry and it isn't that exciting."
The detective did not find this amusing and only stared sharply at the suspect, {Insert Name} felt slightly embarrassed. But the relented and many hours later the statement was finished and the case closed. A hearing would be scheduled later that year and You would be sentenced to 40 years in priso-(*swack*), sorry institution, which is light compared to the other sentence.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
"In conclusion the double homicide could be considered a crime of passion and the criminal is serving their time."
*Crackle*" change the script she was sent to an asylum due to a violent outburst and an insanity plead"
"Oh, I see. Ehem, we've had a last minute update in the situation and it appears that the suspect was submitted to an asylum to recover from a violent outburst and will continue serving their time when they've improved.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
[A/n] I wanted to do more but I'm getting tired and I'm at 1160 words. So I apologize for the abrupt ending and maybe next time I'll improve the ending. (I might even do a pov change) Have a great day! ♡(˃͈ દ ˂͈ ༶ )
