It was supposed to be a fun trip.
It had been planned down to the second Maia was supposed to arrive home, safe, in her bedroom. A trip to Spain, paid for by none other than her parents to celebrate her and her friends graduating from collage and getting her degree. Maia took her three friends, Audrey, Avery and Quinn along with her, the three girls she had spent the last seven years of her life with. Maia graduated high school at 17, top of her class, going straight into college. She graduated as a Doctor by 24.
She had a special interest in trauma surgery and had matched with MedStar in DC.
Maia had known Audrey since she was four years old, their parents being best friends.
Avery and Quinn came along at college, where they grew close and the four were inseparable. There was barely a time they would be separated.
Maia's parents were wealthy. Her Mother was a biologist for the government and her Father was a surgeon.
They had flown to Europe. They travelled different countries across the continent before finally arriving in Spain. There were a few nights that she could barely even remember from the amount of alcohol they had consumed, partying with the locals. They were having the time of their lives, celebrating the beginning of their careers. They had planned to return home on a luxury cruise ship, which had multiple stops along the way to explore. It was everything they had wanted.

A/N: Very quick beginning to the story, to explain the main character and her background. Chapter one is being posted straight away, possibly some others.
Disclaimer: This story contains violence, angst, graphic descriptions and mature themes. This is based shortly after the Resident Evil 4 game, though is purely based on some of the events. I do not own the characters, besides the few I have made up. Not all of the information will be entirely accurate.
