It was the summer that my father struck big in the office. I was sixteen, convinced that books were the only place love was found and ready to take on the world. My father and I found ourselves on a summer vacation in upstate New York at one of the nicest resorts in New England being treated like royalty.
It had everything; a lake surrounded by trees, a library the size of a football field, a 5 star chef and a resort filled with history.
But the best part was the one I had been forbidden to know.
