Ever since you were young, you've been enamored with Overwatch. Even as a teenager, when you friends moved on, you still had posters of your heroes Cassidy, Captain Amari and your favorite, Mercy.
You thought they could be the ones to save the world, and you would join them.
...But, Overwatch is over. They did terrible things under the guise of "Blackwatch", and any activity by them is illegal now. Their figureheads were gone now, with your inspirations Morrison and Reyes dead.
That didn't stop you however.
Even if the past's Overwatch couldn't change the world, you could. You know you could follow in Mercy's footsteps and heal this broken world. You trusted that the heroes of Overwatch would come back greater than ever, and they did. Anyone in this generation will remember the video from their return in Paris...
"Monsieur, does this mean Overwatch is back?"
"Yes. Yes we are."
Winston's reply gave you the best feeling you've felt in years. With that one sentence, you knew your years in school studying to be someone of Overwatch's caliber weren't in vain, you knew you didn't waste your life training, grinding every day, and you knew you could finally hope for a better future.
