Elijah was dead to begin with. We went to his funeral last month, June 17, 2015, but here he is standing right in front of me.

"Elijah, is it really you?" He just stood there and stared at me. Elijah would not say a word all he did was stare. We both stood there for what seemed like hours waiting for something to happen. Meow! Talula walked in right where Elijah was standing and acted like nothing was there. She plopped down right next to me. "Kayla! Are you hungry?" My mother asked.

"Yes, I'm coming just give me a sec." I waved for Elijah to come in but, He just turned around and left. When I say left I mean disappeared. I did not want to anger my mother, so I went down our bright white hallway. Which was covered with pictures of me, my mom, and Elijah. The reason why my father is not in any of the pictures is because, he left when I was only five years old. While I was walking down the hallway, Talula started meowing to try and get me to feed her. "Talula, come up here."  I walked the rest of the way with Talula curled up in my arms. "Hey mom, what are we having for Lunch?" My mother turned around holding a plate full of Chinese Food. When Talula smelled the food she lifted her head and jumped onto the counter to get some. When my mother realized that Talula wanted turkey she grabbed her bowl and put some in. My mother set the bowl on the table for Talula. I sat down next to Talula when my mom gave me my plate and began eating. "Hey mom do you miss Elijah?"

"Of course I miss Elijah, Sweetie." She responded like I was accusing her of not caring about him. When I said his name Elijah appeared behind my mother and smiled. I wanted to tell my mom to turn around but, before I could Elijah disappeared again. I sat there stunned not saying a word not even moving. When my mother finally broke the silence and said, "Kayla, you look like you've seen a ghost." I stood up to go wash my dish because that is exactly what I saw.
