Sky P.O.V

If only he knew how I felt. I know the odds of him liking me back are none. I can't stay just his friend.

Cash and I met this year. I'm in 8th grade, and, no shocker, I don't have any friends. Most of the time I am outside, running in the woods, wondering how people with friends must feel. Either that or I'm singing. I love to sing, but not infront of people.

One day after school I was sitting on the bleachers, just waiting a while before I went home. Not like it mattered if I got home late. I have no family.

All I know is that my mom died when she had me, and my dad was put in jail and died there. No one told me how he died.

So I'm on the bleachers, and since no one is around, I start to sing. I don't know what I'm singing, just words are flowing out of my mouth.

"You have a really nice voice." Someone said from behind me. I turned and saw a kid I've never seen before. His blue green eyes and short blonde hair were amazing though.

"Hello?" He said. I didn't realize I was staring at him.

"What? Oh, thanks!" I said, my face burning up.

He climbed up onto the bleachers and sat next to me.

"What was that song you were singing?" He asked me, his blue eyes shining in the sun.

"Um, I don't know, words were just coming out of my mouth..." I knew my face was so red.

"Don't be embarrassed! You really are a good singer!" He said with a smile.

I had no idea what to do. He was just so cute.

Cash P.O.V.

She was so pretty. Her long blonde hair and pale blue eyes were beautiful.

The sun shining on her hair made her even more pretty.

"How long have you been going here?" She askes me, her face still red.

"I just started this year." I said.

I was stumbling over my words, and it looked like she was laughing slightly.

Sky P.O.V.

He looked so cute when he was stumbling over his words.

It was getting kind of cold, and all I had on were skinny jeans and a fitted T-Shirt.

"You cold?" Cash asked, actually looking concerned.

"It's fine..." I said shivering.

He took off his sweatshirt, which I knew would be very big on me.

"Here," he said, putting it on me.

"Thanks..." I said, blushing for the hundredth time.

"Hey, Cash! Aren't we going to diner?" A high-pitched voice said.

I looked over to she Claire, a girl who was super popular and hated my guts.

"Uh, I gotta go. Keep my sweatshirt. See ya around." Cash said, hopping off the bleachers and running towards Claire.

I layed in bed now. I didn't know what I was feeling.

I'm glad Cash let me keep his sweatshirt. It was now covered in tear stains.
