Sweet Betrayal

CHAPTER ONE

Aurora is in year 11 in a British school and she is 15 years old. she has a best friend called Sarah and a boyfriend called Brett (who she is extremely glad to be dating since she liked him for about a year before he finally asked her out). 

One day Aurora and Sarah have a really good lesson, it is the last lesson of the day and it was one of the rare occasions where they both have a lesson together (it is rare because the teachers know them too well and know not to put them together). It was also good because it meant that they didn't have to meet at the toilets to walk home. the lesson was science which Aurora loves and Sarah finds pointless and annoying. The learning objective for the lesson is atoms and elements, this was one of Aurora's specialities in science because she knew almost every element of the periodic table off-by-heart. Sarah didn't mind this about Aurora because it meant that she could use her answers. 

-The lesson soon ends and the two girls begin to walk home-

They both get out their phones and check/update their social media pages. Sarah shows Aurora that she had gotten one new follower on TikTok that day. this now means that she has 3 more followers in total than Aurora. Aurora replies by sighing in a disappointed tone (but in a way that Sarah knows that she isn't really mad at her) 

They are now about halfway home and decide to compare who they follow on social media because they were bored and thought it might be funny. it turns out that they both follow a lot of the same people and there were only a few that they didn't both follow, this made them laugh even though they didn't find it funny. When they finished looking at who they follow, Sarah had the idea that they should see who Brett follows... Aurora was hesitant but still went onto his profile and saw that he follows a total of 6 people (which isn't a lot compared to the two best friends) 2 of them were his best mates, Matt and Jackson. Another 2 were gamer content-creators which did not come as a surprise to Aurora seeing as he is constantly talking about them, the next person he follows is Aurora which makes sense since they were dating. However, the last person that Brett follows is a person with the username 'Cutie_xoxo' which in turn made Sarah do a fake gagging action. The profile picture of this person was a girl in a bikini standing next to a swimming pool wearing LOTS of makeup. 

Aurora didn't like this so she instantly calls Brett , he sounds startled and in return hesitantly says that it is his cousin that goes to a different school. Aurora doesn't want to start anything so she says ok and hangs up after they both say goodbye. The two best friends keep walking home and Sarah reminds Aurora that she wont be in school on Monday (the day was currently Friday). Aurora is quite forgetful so she asks why in a rather disappointed tone. Sarah says that it is because she has to go to the orthodontist to get her braces fitted. 

Aurora says that she wishes she could come in just for the end of the day so that they can walk home together since she HATES walking home alone. 

"why do you hate it so much" asks Sarah.

"I don't know it just freaks me out" replies Aurora.

"How about you just stick your earphones in, turn on our playlist, and just keep walking until you end up home" suggests Sarah.

"yeah okay, I guess I can do that" says Aurora in a slightly disappointed tone.

Sarah assures Aurora that she will be fine and they continue walking home.

-they get home and facetime for a while and then eat and go to bed-
