 I woke up late the next morning, i wanted to text Gavi and ask him if he wanted to go out tonight but then remembered that i already had plans with Andrew...

i spent most of the day cleaning my messy apartment, i have been so busy lately that my apartment is my last priority, but i finally have time to clean.

as i cleaned i found a little box shoved in the bed of one of my drawers, i carefully opened it and found a ring inside, the ring.

                   ~flashback~

it was a cool day in November, and it was our 6-month anniversary.

"So..." Alex started as we got settled at our table "i  want to give you this."

he ruled out a pandora box from his pocket and opened it, a beautiful silver ring sat in the box.

"Wow..." i said as my eyes widened at how pretty the ring was. he took the ring of and took my hand and slipped the ring on my pointer finger, it fit perfectly.

"a promise ring" he explained " a promise you that this is forever."

            ~fast forward~

"I'm so sorry but i can't do this anymore" he said his voice breaking at the end.

"Why- ok" i said as tears slipped from my eyes, i grabbed my keys and my bag and left his house, i cried as i drove home, i thought it was forever.

         ~back to now~

looking back, he was a nice guy, but nothing compared to Gavi, my ingrate younger self thought that our relationship was amazing and perfect, well if she saw me now, she would think it was out of a fairy tale.

i slipped he ring on my finger, still the perfect fit. just as i was about to take it off my phone rung, i got up and answered it.

it was a call from Carmen reminding me about a meeting i had tomorrow. as i ended the call i got a text.

can you do 5:30 at the steak eatery on Entrada blvd?

i looked at the time 3:15, i didn't bother to start getting ready, it's not Gavi so i don't really care. i went to my living room and watched Tv for a while. i looked at the time again, 4:30, i got up and went to my bathroom, i took a shower, i got out and checked the time again, 4:50, i quickly changed into something simple but nice enough for the restaurant. i blow dried my hair and did my makeup, when i was done it was 5:30, shit i was late. I quickly got my purse and phone i got in my car and drove to the restaurant. as i made my way there i texted Andrew and told him i was running a bit late and he said it was ok. i got there at 5:40. i went n and looked around and quickly found Andrew sitting at a table, and i went over to him.
